Hi guys,
Been a while since I last posted please pardon me if I have posted in the wrong section. I just need to clarify something as I have recently purchased an R4 card that may have a timebomb feature. Reading from various sources it seems that YsMenu is the only OS that can bypass this or I can put my system time to an earlier date but I prefer the former.
I just need to know if I am understanding the procedure correctly.

1. I need to download the necessary files.
2. Upload the files to the root of my SD card.
3. If I want YsMenu to autoboot at every startup then I need to do some hex editing to a certain file or I can just download a r4.dat that has already been edited, etc.
I do not need to install or run any software in particular to get YsMenu running so I can bypass the timebomb, right? Just upload, hex edit the necessary file and I am all set?
Please advice, thank you.
EDIT:
I have attached the card that I got. Thanks.
