Maybe you're referring to SaveMiiFrii (search this). It allows you to bring your Wii into some sort of maintenance mode where you can boot a disc directly without having to go to the disc channel. You would have to have the Twilight hack already in your system to install HBC.

Why can't you run the original Twilight disc? Is it all scratched up or is there some other thing wrong with the Wii?

    * Plug the controller in the 4th Gamecube slot
    * Simultaneously hold down all four button (up, down, left, right) and press the Wii's power button to turn it ON
    * If you're successful, you'll see the Wii's version number at the bottom, if not, try again

The reason why you have to open the Nintendo's GC controller is that unless it's completely exposed, you cannot hold down all four buttons at the same time.

You don't open up the Wii. Open up the GC controller. Hold the up/down/left/right buttons on the GC controller and simultaneously press the POWER button on the Wii.

the purpose for opning the controller is so you can press the UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT all at the same time like in the video you posted.

Wow man! What part of UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT buttons don't you understand? It's mentioned in 3 different replies to your post, and it also appeared in the video. I hope you're not pulling our legs, trying to be funny.
