Hacking need help, havent updated my cios in a while

I need a little help, im not exactly sure which cios i updated to last, but it was right when New Super Mario brother came out and it wouldnt work with usb loader GX so i downloaded this rev just to make New Super Mario Brothers work using neogamma 8
but it caused games like Carnival Games to not work

is there a newer rev out now that will allow carnival games to work
or will i have to alter my New Super Mario on my hard drive?

Anyways, more Info please. Which "New Super Mario Brother" do you mean? New Super Mario Bros. Wii? Are you trying to load it from DVD? From USB? Which rev are you using? What do you mean with "didn't work"? Write, people, give us facts!

EDIT: I'll give an answer with more info. Otherwise this would just be plain stupid...
