Hard to say. They are both a pretty unknown brand.
I had best results with a laptop drive in a cheap usb enclosure. If you are lucky, those drives will also be standard 2.5 or 3.5 inch sata drives in an enclosure with a converter to usb. If such isn't working on the wii, it's usually the sata2usb interface that fails. You can find those for something like 15 to 20 bucks.
It's always hard to tell what a second hand harddisk went trough. Why would someone sell it if it's in perfect working condition?
Western digital usb drives are different. They replaced the normal sata electronics with usb. So it's not disk -> sata -> usb but directly disk -> usb.
