Hacking Need help asap

We need help getting the wiikey to work. We burned 3 games on JVC DVD-R's at 4X, but the system keeps giving us DRE. When we put the setup disc in, it would read it just fine. What are we doing wrong?

we just burned a GC game and it reads it... anyone have any ideas?

can you give details on the burner and also have you unscrambled the games before you burned them? what region are they? and what region is your console?

burner is a samsung lightscribe 16x
the games i have were ready to burn images.
the games are ntsc and my system is ntsc

edit: i burn at 4x

Yes, crappy media. Try burning the media at their full rated speed, whatever that is.

Possibly that burner is not the best too. I have no personal experience with Samsung DVD burners but they used to have a fairly poor reputation.

i don't get this. I just burned TMNT on the same media, and it works. Didn't change anything. Argh, this is making me mad.

I'm going to try the other 2 images again on Memorex -R Anyone know about these? They known to work?

well, if you want to make sure it works all the time, buy a new media (branded one like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) and buy a new burner. And also, do not use the computer while you are burning the discs.. that will decrease the chances of the disc turning to coasters..

ok i tried dbz and tiger woods on the memorex -r and they work! now i'm happy!!!

note to all: JVC DVD-R's don't work

i would suggest you switch from memorex too, they are very low quality.
Grab some verbatims.

Sony DVDs are almost always on sale as well as Maxell. Any comments on the quality of these discs? I've been using these Sony ones for quite some time now but I don't have a mod chip yet.

Maxell (Made in Japans) were always good in the past. Not sure now. I think, if my memory is correct, they were Riteks. Gotta make sure the package says Made in Japan though.
