Hacking Need for save conversion?

I recently ordered an AK2. I currently use an M3 Simply. I've heard a few people mention converting save files so that they can transfer their saves from one flashcart to another. Do I need to convert any of my saves from my Simply so that they will work on my AK2?

I just did this recently and, if I remember correctly, AK2 saves end in the extension ".nds.sav" and M3 simply saves end in ".SAV". It's simply a matter of editing the extensions

Also, don't get lazy and just copy paste .nds before every .SAV file. .SAV must be in lower case or else an new/additional save file will be written (in other .nds.sav not .nds.SAV).
