Ok So I was trying to update my wii mods and decided to check out what is going on with triiforce (I had looked at it way before but did not think it was good enough yet), so while I was lookign I found uloader.

Uloader: Ok so I tried getting uloader working and was having problems with it not running on IOS 222. Tried 223 and it worked, but I did not want to have to change it for every title everytime. So I

First resoftmod: Followed a tutorial called Modify any wii located here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901

uloader: So now everytime I load Uloader it would ask me to power cycle my USb Drive, but would then play on 222. This was a bigger problem then before (I believe I played Excitebike on Uloader)

Instal D2x and other Ios: This now allowed Uloader to work like it did before. Detect USb Drive but won't play on 222, but it was too late I discovered A better looking Mighty Channels and uneek.

Uneek: Messed around witht his a little manually (no Modmii, or switchtoUneek), could not get it to work satisfactory, so moved to mighty channels

Mighty Channels: Ok worked with Mighty channels for a short period and got it working, but didn't really like the gui and the covers it was downloading were not very good quality. So in the process of looking for things I discovered Wiiflow

Wiiflow: Wiiflow is my grand prize app. If I could get it working 100% I would be very happy. Worked with it alot trying to get it to work, followed all tutorials I could find, finally after updating other CIOS or whatever I located the wiiflow.ini file (again) and found the section that says Nand and then disable=yes. Changed that and it worked.

    EXCEPT:

Now it will not play any NES games like Excitebike. I know that I played excitebike on like Friday but am unaware of where I played it from Wii System Menu, Uloader, Mighty Channels

I can install Excitebike on the wii system menu and it works great, I try to load it on Mighty channels or wiiflow and it says System Memory is Damaged press a to return

I also tried creating a brand new nand, one like uneek uses and same issue system memory is damaged. Everything else seems to work except NES games

    Oops forgot the SYScheck

for what u want, u should try using uneek+di and joyflow

check out ModMii, from the main menu enter "S", then "3", then "UD" and the rest is straightforward... tell ModMii that u want joyflow, etc, hopefully u have more luck with uneek+di, make sure to read the quick tips, for example, it will tell u that u require at least one game in USB:\games\ in sneek format, modmii can help u with that too

    @Xflak
Thanks for the suggestion, I guess I left that part out. I did end up getting uneek - Di working. I could not get +Di but maybe that is because I did not have that game in usb:\games. My problem with that is that it is not just one program, unlss you are saying that joyflow would work like I want wiiflow to work. I would liek a 1 stop shop type of thing.

    Ok more updates:

I decided since I had not tried uloader or Simple Fs Dumper, I would try them. First thing I did was to redo cios 222 so that it would be comparable to how I played uloader on Friday night, when all of this started. Then I ran fs dumper and created my nand for uloader, and at the same time created a new one for Wiiflow.

Loaded wads to the wiiflow nand and tried to play excitebike. No go same problem

Loaded uloader and it install about 15 wads. Loaded it and tried to play Excitebike and Super Mario and it worked!

So know I ask, What is different between uloader and Mighty Channels and Wiiflow

Also what if I possible used ISO 56 to install all my cios? Not saying I did but the possibility is there.

Anyone know how to make wiiflow or mighty channels use ISO 222

Easy: The compatility! All loaders got a different one. If you want to use wiiflow then go to wiiflowiki.com and check out the emulated nand guide. If you still got problems come to wiiflow irc, we can help you too.
For mighty channels you can check out the mod, it got a higher compatility.
Both wiiflow and mighty channels can't use ios222, but the emu nand is not only handled by the cios, it's mainly handled by loader.
I can't help you with uloader, it never worked for me...

correct me if I'm wrong, but can't u change the cIOS loaded by mighty channels and wiiflow by adding an argument to the meta.xml?

Wiiflow and mighty channels are d2x ios only.

Ok so what is the difference between 222 and 249 where the nes games are not working for me, like I said all others work. And is there a way to put something like IOS 222 to like 248 or 250 or something like that?

Nope, that would not work because the LOADER expect a d2x cIOS and gets a hermes cIOS, that would give you a error.

You can put 222 in any slot, but that doesn't mean it will fool wiiflow or mighty channels. If certain games aren't working for u, I recommend u try using a d2x cIOS with different base and see if you get better results. You can install a bunch to different slots (ie. 245-250) and test them one by one by changing the meta.xml argument (assuming meta.xml arguments are supported by those apps). To change the slot of a cIOS, launch ModMii, from the main menu enter "A", then pick the cIOS you want (ie. 249d2x58), then when asked change the slot # to 245. Repeat this for all the d2x cIOSs, increasing the slot # by 1 each time (I recommend leaving base 56 installed to slot 249). Then install the cIOSs using mmm or another wad manager. Then launch mighty channels or wiiflow with a modified meta.xml to load using IOS 245-250 and see which base gives u the best results. If these apps don't accept meta.xml arguments, u can just download all the 249d2x cIOSs from ModMii's download page 4, install ONE, then test, then install ONE other, then test, and repeat until u find one that works for u.

Alternatively... u could just use fceugx and play roms of your favourite nes games... much nicer in my opinion, u can apply cheats, save state at any time, etc.

Actually wiiflow adds all installed d2x cios to a vector, and then reads which base the game wants to use. When the game is booted, wiiflow reloads to the cios which has the proper base for the ios the game requested. There is no reason to ever modify the ios argument for wiiflow, unless you dont have a d2x cios in 249. auto_ios works in wiiflow for Wiiware, VC, Wii games, and DVDs. The problem you are having is most likely due to what video modes your tv or wii cable support.

thx for the clarification! I really need to check out WiiFlow again, it's been a long time since I've tried it [IMG]

Any idea when we can expect an official WiiFlow update? I keep only hearing about beta's

We reached 3.0 alpha today [IMG]
As soon as the wiiflow bot works properly you can use the auto builds. For now you could use miigotu's dropbox for the very latest dev test builds or my dropbox for the latest stable builds.

"We"? Are you now on the WiiFlow team too? Congrats!

"wiiflow bot" and "auto builds"??? Am I missing something? When this is complete... whatever it is... how will it work?

Can you link me to yours and mugotu's dropbox?

    Thx!

Ok but I have tried it on 2 tvs with 2 seperate cords.

I have a Mitsubishi Dlp with a component cable on one setup (same wii)
then On the other it is a regular tube tv with a regular stock cord (same wii)

Plus if it was the cable would i not have had problems with N64? Plus if it was either one of those why would Uloader work with them and I can install them to my System menu also...

    Please advise

Also I found an old version of wiihacks 222. On that version how did you enable the nand or set the path or what was it defaulted to..

Miigotu's is a direct link to a boot.dol... does he have an index page like u do listing more info on what it is I'm actually downloading, like the version # and stuff like that?

Miigotu's files are dev versions, he just replaces the dol everytime, there is no version number on it. I personally don't use it because he updates it like every 3 minutes, only if miigotu sais he added something new. Just use the stable svn revs.
