Need cellphone help

I'm getting a new one soon, and I don't know jack about them, I'm on newegg and just sitting there clueless, so can anyone recommend me a good phone?

Price isn't a problem, but no 600$ touchpad things. Actually, yeah, nothing like that regardless of price.

My friend has a phone where you can have it open either vertically or horizontally, having it horizontally gives it a sidekick -like keyboard. Since it seems interesting, anyone know hat it is? I think the manufacturer was Samsung. Thanks!

I'm currently holding out for the Sony Ericsson K850i due out later this year - it's a 5MP camera phone and it's going to kick the crap out of any other camera phone on the market, N95 included (well maybe not this but it's only available in Korea! Not to mention I'm not a huge fan of Samsung phones). The K850i might be a bit pricey for me though... so we'll see. If so I may pick up a K800i or something similar instead, as they had be had for only £100 ($200) now.

I hate Sony as much as the next guy but they do make very good phones!

I just swapped my lg vx8600 for a moto slvr l7c (verizon). I like the lg, but was getting awful reception in my house. the slvr gets great reception, and I think is a great phone overall. not the best or newest technology, but a solid phone that does it's job right.

Looking at reviews, I'm thinking of getting that LG VX8600...

I don't want a slide phone because this is a phone for 4 years and I'm afraid the screen will get damaged in my pocket.
