Okay, I want to see soully's design, because of this:

Many designs have been centered on copying the Wii's Homebrew Channel with the water flowing and all that, but this should be completely different! I would love if it was that a rocket with the same design as in soully's design was on the bottom of the screen, the rocket started to rumble, and then blast off. It flies forward up into the top screen, and then flies out. As it flies, the white smoke from the bottom of the rocket fades to reveal the bottom screen, then the logo fades in after the rocket goes away. I mean, it'd be colorful, simple, and just overall great. I really hope that soully could possibly animate it, haha. Also, for anybody who tries to animate it, why not make the rocket have a red top, white body, with red "fins" (the two things at the bottom)? I think it'd look great.

Here is a little gem that I made in about a half hour. I believe that it shows the stereotypical indie spirit - lots of pixels. I really like it. I can make requested adjustments easily.

On-topic: Most of these look really good. I would hope he would consider custom themes. This way if someone doesn't like the chosen default theme, they can select a different one.

yeh, just include the best designs, make your facourite one the default one and give us an option to change the desings, that would be the best solution IMO

If it's scripted, users could replace their theme like HBC.
if not, maybe only the pictures could be replaced, not the animation.

If im remembering correctly, the loader is going to be open source. So we can expect some mods, with custom designs, too. Ill think.

Smea mentioned that it's going to be simple for initial release, and open source to boot. So first version will probably be compiled in, later it could be scripted.

While these are really good, the interface will just be a simple vertical list for now so that it can be released soon. (at least I recall Smealum saying something like this) Then again it could always be done later. Also having the option to launch something immediately by tapping it might be good. I imagine the tap icon -> tap launch may get annoying after some time.
