At this point not really. When a9lh first came out ya but now not so much. Super stable 3ds is pretty awesome though.

As I've said, n3ds owners will try to justify their purchase as much as they can.

But in reality, the only real benefit you will be getting is SNES VC and Xenoblade Chronicles.

I'm in your boat as well - I have an o3DS and I just picked up the o3DS XL (the Link Between Worlds version), and it is surprisingly beautiful. But it's heavy compared to the original 3DS, and the battery life is well...interesting.

It's more of a side grade than an upgrade - but I felt I didn't need the N3DS's extra hardware capabilities (not interested in amiibo, except for one - the Ness one...)...

I will definitely go used for the N3DS XL, there are people out there who are already offloading their new consoles.

So I have an o3ds (not XL) and it has rxtools with many games. Thing is that it has LOTS of wear and tear by which I mean marks, scratches and small dents. So I put black tape to make it look better (even though it still looks horrible but a lot better). But it's perfectly functional and good.

I was thinking about getting a new console, because the way the current one looks brings tears to my eyes. So, I can get the following at the following prices (I live in Australia and all prices in AUD):

- New 3DS preowned $188
- New 3DS preowned XL $218
- Original 3DS XL preowned $168
- Original 3DS preowned $128

I'm getting preowned because I'm going to downgrade the 3DS to 9.2.0E and if it fails I can claim it wasn't working in the first place and EB games has a soft spot for preowned item returns (from past experience). If I got a Brand New one, it would be very hard to claim it isn't working.

So which one do you think I should go for? If I got a New 3DS, I would play Hyrule Warriors (It runs at a disgusting FPS on o3DS) Xenoblade, and other games for the New 3DS.

And if I go for the New 3DS, XL or not?

Just get a brand new N3DS XL downgrading is easy and chances of bricking is low, if your so scared just do a NAND backup with a temporal hard mod.

A9LH is very easy just a matter of downgrading and all nothing different compared to o3DS except the 2.1FWPatch in OTP Helper.

Honestly, all these threads make me want to preorder an NX and keep it sealed until the internal memory of it can be dumped.

No but it makes my 3DS look bad because either can can make a hole and create a port, then get a cable that works with that port, and cut the other end ot a micro sd adapter or I can always directly hook it up to a micro sd adapter. I don't want to do either, because, 1st) I don't want to poke a hole through my ds and 2nd) I don't want 4 wires hanging off my 3ds, followed by a micro sd adapter.

I'm gonna downgrade anyway, just hoping it will work. I'm not gonna hardmod. I have to buy solder and a soldering iron anyway because I'm out of solder and my soldering iron died (doesn't heat up). And that's like another $40 AUD bare minimum.
