Yep, hardware only.
Redesigned Slims are Corona V5 and V6 (they need a POST fix adapter and SD R/W kit if it's a 4GB)
As for the glitch chip, CR4 XL.
If you want an Xkey, a RGH is needed prior to obtaining the DVD key.
I recommend Xkey if you want XBLive.
If you don't have any soldering experience, I'd take it to a local modshop.
