in my opinion, no.
Its the worst Mana game i've ever played...
Its just a dungeon crawler with no map exploration whatsoever..

As someone who likes Dungeon Crawlers this was one of my favorite games over the last 6 months. I really enjoyed it.

Not a bad game, I enjoyed my time on it. I went through and got everything in the game and I happen to like the dungeon crawler leveling up game without too much of a convoluted story. Beautiful graphics as well. But by far not the worst Mana game in the series, Legend of Mana was much worse in my opinion. Nothing beats Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3.

Original Seiken Densetsu was on gameboy I believe.
Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana in the US) was SNES/Super Famicom
Seiken Densetsu 3 was on Super Famicon
Legend of Mana - PSX
Sword of Mana - GBA
Children of Mana - DS

That's all the ones I can think of, maybe I'm missing some, but those are the ones I actually played.

Legend of Mana was much worse in my opinion

Sorry, but I disagree. Legend of Mana is one of the best games I've ever played...PERIOD. The big advantage it has over Secret of Mana is the multiple storylines and the freeflowing play.

Children of Mana is at the bottom of the pile. It was REALLY BORING. I was so excited to get this, then utter disappointment when I finally did. *cry*

seiken densetsu 3 was incredible and i felt it improved on every aspect of secret of mana. not to mention the characters to choose from for your party of 3 and the replay value it added. why square never brought it to the states i have no idea. was the snes nearing the end of it's lifecycle at release? the jap and english patch works wonders though and it's currently on the xbox.

Secret of Mana on the snes is the best 3 player rpg game.
I not quite sure about the story~line: :'( someone told me:

While we can all disagree or agree on whether children of mana is worth playing.....I think it's obvious the best the series has to offer thus far has been Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3 both on super famicom, just fire up the emulators and play those. I loved those 2 games to death for sure and my only gripe about 3 is probably the irreversible class changing but if you know what you're doing (I played through it twice) then it's not confusing anyways. And another thing that came to mind, I believe Seiken Densetsu 4 was recently released in Japan on the PS2 I think, wonder how good that one is....looked cool from some pictures I saw.
