This is just a Dragon Quest game where you capture and fight with monsters featured in past DQ games. Kind of like a hardcore Pokemon.

Hmm i loved dragon warrior monsters 1 and 2 for the gbc, i wonder if this is sort of a ds version. i hope so, dragon warrior monsters was an awesome game. of course noticeing the wifi, im sure if this is the same type of game, everyone you try to fight wil probably have all level 99 gold slimes with 999hp or something comprable and stronger i dont care to know about

nonetheless i hope this reaches the US

i doubt that.
since its a very classic rpg i think its vital to be able to read japanese otherwise you have no clue where to to and who to talk to etc.
i hope that theres a faq soon, cause i dont want to wait for the us release

It runs surprisingly well on the Supercard, very pretty looking

From what I've played, for an RPG, Japanese knowledge isn't too crucial to get around

though I sure do wish someone could translate the menus, like with FF3
especially since we probably won't get a localized version until long after Pokemon DP is released

The graphic on the box art does look somewhat like Trunks, I can understand why one might think it's related to DBZ if you aren't familiar with the series. I've been waiting for a while for this as well, I hope it makes it to the states.

It looks like you choices for startes are Dracky, Mommonjon or Moleman. Working on both SC and EZ IV miniSD. EZ IV seems to play smoother though. I have no idea what the wifi is about, based on past DQM games I'm sure it's at least used for breeding.

previous ones had random gen dungeons. i spose the breeding would need japanese. but just playing through should be relatively easy. kinda like pokemon dungeon blue
