I also haven't heard of this cartoon or book or whatever it's supposed to be.

I'm in Canada ... but perhaps it's on the French channels that I never watched.

Well... Im shocked. I thought that this pair of gauls are well known in the whole world (not only in France). Maybe the reason of not knowing comics with them is young age (I started reading them almost 18 years ago) and flood of crappy american comics with their crappy "superheroes". Whatever. To all fans - just play A&O XXL 2 on ps2, its imo one of the best games on this system even if its not revolutionary.

I am American, I am 18, and me and all my friends know Asterix, Obelix, Panoramix (And occasionally Asterix's cousin, Jolitorax), awesome adventures against the romans and the vikings.

Although, the romans tend to get drunk off of one glass of beer. One.

And the British with their warm beer and Boiled Boar.

Fun game with good comicy visuals! The way they've used 3D graphics takes a bit getting used to but fun platformer all the same. I like those little gambling machines and that Splinter Cell sound effect

There is also a great movie with asterix and obelix but i think it's come only in france : "asterix and obelix: mission cleopatre" one of the most funny film i've ever seen.

Naouak, get serious. Of course, it came out in other countries too!
I watched the film both when the cinema brought it and on dvd.
And of course, all of Goscinny's comics were awesome Asterix,Lucky Luke and my favorite vizier...which Tabary completely ridiculed when Goscinny passed away...about the same way Uderzo destroyed the Asterix franchise.
