Is this a sequel to the first game? There is another manga artist game for the DS that came out awhile back. Ahhh, found it, it is:

0267 - Mangaka Debut Monogatari DS - Akogare! Mangaka Ikusei Game (J)

The game and art style in the first one look similar to this one too.

I tried the first manga artist game. Gave up after the first five minutes. Wouldn't be surprised if you had to start at the bottom and work as an assistant, inking in some generic yaoi manga.
