I played the death out of this in Japanese. I never liked Digimon, nor did I ever care. But I played the Japanese version of this, and I absolutly loved it. I am diffently going to get this onto the M3 once I get home and play it!

This, Yoshi's Island, and I got PSU over the weekend. This is cruel

*The one thing about this game I like, there are some Digimon from the new season in Japan that hasen't even aired in the U.S. yet. I believe that was the reason why this game took so long to be translated. Maybe they were waiting for the season, but just gave up.

There are also over 300 of the little buggers in the game, with almost all of them being obtainable in some shape or form. Even some of the bosses can be acquired somehow. As far as I'm aware only the four Observers and some of the Major Bosses are unobtainable. And you use the Wifi to get certain Digimon. For example, using Wifi is the only way you can get Veemon.

How is the gameplay anyway? All 2D stuff with a semi 3D look or is it like a 2D platform battle game?

I put a video of the game I recorded with my webcam on Youtube a while ago (A short 42 second clip of it). Since I'm at school and Youtube is blocked I can't give the exact URL, but if you're able to search for User, search for CI254 and it should come up.

Also, all the Digimon from those seasons are in it. Hell, Gabumon and Agumon's baby forms are two of the starters. Also, that Gabumon with the gloves is one of Gabumon's new forms. His baby can become either Gabumon, or once the other requirements were met, him. I don't know his English name so I can't say, his Japanese one was Gaomon or something like that.

Digivolution in this game is a great feature. Some Digimon can become different ones depending on the situation. Most of the more advanced ones require you to dedigivolve, but some you don't have to. Here's Agumon for an example.

Koromon has three possible basic chains. And as you can see in some cases, they can become more than one thing. Agumon for example can choose to become Greymon and follow that chain, or GeoGreymon and follow that one. Koromon can possibly become the first of these three chains, the Rookie form.

What really put me off on this one had been that you can't get a Veemon using regular playing. You need WiFi to pull this off and WiFi is something I don't have. But for that I received for some strange reason this purple dragon thingy... and boy this guy is hell overrated ( I better not show my stats as they are so good people think I cheated

Goddam! This game is so much fun! Digi farm.. digivolution.. This game is currently much more fun than the previous pokemon games i've played on the gba. Although I can't compare it to the ds pokemon as I haven't tried it.

I have one question that hopefully someone experienced can answer. Does your level limit for a digimon increase for each 'tamer rank'?. Cause I have a champion that cant evolve further and he can only get to max level 21. But the treeline that gets him to mega requires level 25 from Rookie. So when I degenerate him from champion at max level to rookie, his new max level is 23 so he still cant get on that line. So does that max level increase when you gain a new rank? Or is there some other hidden weird way to do it?

Im currently silver with three ultimates.. but I want that minotaur treeline

Game works On DS-Link to but whene you want to save you get and error.

Seems to save on sc cf but when you come to reload later save data doesn't exist.

Sorry settings were :-

None worked yet, still trying.

The earlier version of Supercard CF 2.57 was bugged, the later one (after 5th) works fine and the game saves and loads fine.

Settings were :-

restart, trim, play and dma.

Level Limit only increases by de-volution.

EDIT: I forgot something. You can only de-volve if you have a de-volve token received somewhere in the game. Hence you need a certain rank before you can obtain this item and start doing this trick. Up to that point you are stuck with what you get.

Keep dedigivolving again and again, and your stats can potentially get higher and higher. I had at one point in the JPN version a Level 20 Greymon nearly doubled the strength of a 40-something Megaseadramon.

I got today the english version on my card and left the save file along ( SuperCard ). Worked without a problem. The only problem is that the names are stored differently than in the japenes version. This results in all saved names ( your name, farm names, digimon names ) to be a mess of symbols but otherwise there is no incompatibility. What goes for the names of the digimon you can just devolve and then set a new name. For the farms I guess the only way is to sell and buy them again. What goes for your own name that's a no-way-out situation I guess. But that's minor problems if you can carry your saves over.

I have a Dorimon.. it's an In-Training generation type digimon.. and here are the stats. ;p

HP - 989
MP - 202
Attack - 126
Spirit - 72
Speed - 79
Aptitude - 60

I got the stats by digivolving to ultimate and degenerating to in-training over and over again
