Not a fan of Star Trek, but there's a lot of hype surrounding this, is it worth me trying it?
WOW!!!! Holy shit!
I hope this is good....
/me looks for my old communicator pin in the closet.
This game looks like it's the piss.
Although I never understood these Star* games, this game looks like all the rest, in that it's one of those confusing games that nobody knows the controls for, even though you only need to push a couple of buttons to make it do something (albeit, not what you wanted it to do though)
some screens at http://www.gamespot.com/ds/strategy/startr...creenindex.html
Nintendo Power gave it a 5.5/10
M-m-m-m-m-m-m-make it so. Make it so.
He just kept talking in one long....... incredibly long unbroken sentence moving form topic to topic so that no-one has a chance to interupt him.....
and Im damn proud of it too!
Nice... I used to watch the show with Mr. Spock on channel 2 every Wednesday
Still catch the one with Captain Picard on Sundays now and then.
WOW! the screenshots look like crap.
I have been dying for this game since I heard of it!
*Runs to play!*
As a matter of fact the screens aren't so bad at all. I read this on IGN:
"On the DS edition, the game can be played entirely with the touchscreen, with a graphic digital dial arranged just like that of the show."
I like that!
They have yet to make an even halfway decent star trek game.
UH, I sure need to give a try to this one. The videos looked good.
not very fun
Or film. Or TV program.
There was some kind of FPS on the Pc a while ago that was entertaining but yeah this game is dull.
Star Trek: Elite Force 2
Probably the best Star Trek game made.
For the so inclined: http://tomshardware.co.uk/2006/10/24/a_bri...video_games_uk/
I was (stupidly) kind of hoping for a nod to elite when I saw this (I remember playing a star trek games on the amiga or was it megadrive that was elite influenced) on the releases list, I guess I will be back to waiting.
Elite Force 2 was inferior to Elite Force 1 but still an okay game. But you people are clearly young if you have never played a good Star Trek game. Their are two Star Trek games that are in fact not only good Star Trek games but they are two of the best adventure games ever made.
Star Trek: 25th Anniversary
Star Trek: Judgment Rites
A third that's plenty decent but not as good
Star Trek The Next Generation: A Final Unity
Yea, it's been around since the 60s but not a single thing has been good... they just like to waste money year after year on things that suck, right?
Anyway... Final Unity was a great game, you can play it on xp systems using dosbox and a modified ini file.
