There's a bit more to battle than meets the eye, but it's still pretty shallow compared to other Tales games.
Still, flawlessing a boss is always fun, especially when you can't do it without some cheese.

Mwahaha, time for my impressions...

They should really either have stuck to in-game cutscenes or just 2D Anime for the opening. Mixing them both just didn't make it look good. The opening tune was also bleh >_>

Everything looks really half done so far apart from the average 3D cell renderings. Everything is static and most important of all, there's no character expressions. It feels like they're all just a group of string puppets walking around in one of those theatre puppet shows. FFIII was more interesting with their little face expressions

Battles have also been simplistic. All I have found myself doing so far is running up to a mob and blindly hitting the A button. But I haven't been in too many battles so, I'll be playing on and hope things heat up more.

BTW, I notice that all the recent ROMs seem to only run in Safe Mode or Force R/W on the M3... So does any DS-Xtreme user feel like bragging (letting us know) about how the games are running on their card?

I really hope M3 comes up with an update for the common sense title but I doubt it

finished the game in 5 hours, i can read the japanese too (just to give you an idea that im not rushing through not reading it) btw normal mode
the story gets amazingly better, there are some really incredible plot twist that just jumps out of nowhere
it's not as dissapointing as people say, the beginning is crap liek anyone says but towards the middle (if you take the right) route is amazing

i have one seemingly secret character (won't say who hehe) but there appears to be more

anyway the battles become amazingly innovative as new systems are introduced into the battles
seriously just play it, lay a good little bit and you'll see

(the story is like a short book that's good, short and to the point, but strong enough to leave an impression)

Like A Wrinkle in Time?

And when you say "if you take the right rout", do you mean that there's more than one scenario you can end up with? Like, multiple endings, and such?

Well, good know but I doubt there's multiple endings. If there was the site or magazines would certainly have mentioned it. Multiple paths to the same ending then maybe.

Oh yeah, gaining a password can help you unlock wallpapers on the official site. They're also revealing mini games later on the site that will allow you to unlock rare items on the DS.
