heh, got the series in Laserdisc as well, all 4 useless big boxes. The sleeves were pretty though. And I think I have the original VHS as well from studio pierrot and all the original super famicom games and baotloads of other crap....(keychains, cards, fans, you name it). Also have 3 sets of the comic book of which 2 of them are new (1 set in chinese, 1 set in Japanese) and 1 set is used which I read (used set in chinese). I don't know what I'm going to do with them now.....I wouldn't want to sell them for nothing, least they're worth something to me....if nothing more than a childhood memory.

lol I guess you were really into it. When they first aired it here (1992 or 93I think since I was Grade 2), people just regarded anime as regular cartoons so I was a fan but didn't really bother into collecting stuff. I knew shit about manga too since I couldn't read Japanese then but we had craploads of them of random series. They're all in manga heaven now though since afaik some of them were burnt to be disposed or sold to classmates (the ones with ecchi).

Oh and the Laserdisc sleeves are the reason I kept them, I only saw (saved!) them again when we were gonna throw out and sell some of our old stuff. Goodthing I was at home at the time or some lucky SOB was getting them for dirt cheap.

Heh yeah, the LDs weren't cheap, we actually still have the LD player @ my parent's place. I was really into it....into anime generally kinda but YYH I fell in love with. Those LDs costs an arm and a leg, I remember when there were fansub projects that wanted to buy the LDs from me but I had to refuse them. I know it was huge in Phillipines as well since I knew a couple people online back then that were YYH fans.....man that was when ICQ started to get popular haha....good ole days.....glad to share stories with other yyh fans.

Well, that's the thing about getting original stuff... Once they're sold out you could find yourself making a small fortune on online auctions

In Akiba it might be a different story though because there seems to be small shops everywhere that sell very cheap second hand stuff!

Actually, on a sort of off subject note, my gf (japanese) told me that in Akihabara they have these auction stores. And you pay a small fee and basically they give you shelf space for your geeky goods and they auction it for you to all the otakus and geeks that visit regularly. Supposedly it's pretty sweet because she's heard of people making tons of money this way. Maybe I'll have to load her luggage full of crap for her when she goes next time, though she hates going there....too many otakus....and by that I mean real otakus, couldn't believe it when I was there. It's like a city full of people who can't make eye contact, speak firmly, and never seen a girl other than ones dressed as maids/schoolgirls. Japan is an interesting country.

Sorry if that was the wrong reaction but the first thing that came to mind was the Densha Otoko drama

Well, I'm not speaking from experience but reading through some JP and other people's blogs who visit Japan regularly, they seem to get a lot of really cheap, second hand limited edition goodies for around £2 or so. Those prices are better than the second hand stores here XD

Is it just me or how I patched the this, but everytime I go to collect the green egg, it just stays on the egg with a big circle in the middle and kanji flashing.

I can't pass it by either touching the screen or pressing a button. Has anyone had the same problem?
