I like this game.

I'm rocking at the visual memory type games, but I suck at the math stuff...

Big Brain Academy (AKA, Yawaraka Atama Juku, ????????) was released about a month later after Brain Age in Japan. Lots of these games are coming out and are part of the new "brain teasing" genre. Trust the Japanese to always dare in breaking the mould

The exercises are fun when compared to the first Brain Age. You gain access to a great variety right from the start whereas in the Brain Age series, you have to wait until you accumulate enough stamps. Plus this brain teaser looks fun from the moment you load the game with its Dr. Lobe and vibrant colours

I see in the English release they've decided to move the exercises around a bit. The "Language" section that was at the top in the Japanese version's been replaced with a "Think" section. They've moved puzzles that were in the "Analyze" section to "Think" and then created some completely new puzzles.

No big deal but, I'm sure they could have just left the "Language" section in and replaced the Japanese Countdown style game with an English one.

I've played it a bit and I must say I like Brain Training a lot better than this.

Brain Training is more educational and helpful (plus voice and text recognition, not to mention the excellent sudoku mode

).

Brain Academy is too much like playing a bunch of slow colourful minigames.

Is it just me, or this game is no good? First, you can take the test for having your brain size counted several times a day, and while in "Brain Age" you could actually improve your brain and feel like it, in here it's all thanks to luck. One moment you can get 500g, and in the next you can get 1000g, depending on what games you got...

Got to try it this weekend.

Multiplayer mode is what makes this game shine. There doesn't seem to be any restrictions on the download play.

It also occured to me that many of the test in Big Brain and some in Brain Age are really similar to the aptitude/IQ tests I had to take before being admited at Nav Canada's Air Traffic control school.

I believe airline and military pilots take similar tests.

So, Big Brain is fun and perhaps even useful for your future career?

Prefer Brain Training but this is good fun and multiplayer is better than I'd thought it would be.

If its a budget release like Brain Training then I may buy it.
