Here is the list of Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) games released/announced thus far:

Gyakuten Saiban GBA = Gyakuten Saiban DS.
Gyakuten Saiban 2 GBA (no DS version...).
Gyakuten Saiban 3 GBA (ditto).
Gyakuten Saiban 4 NDS. It hasn't been announced if GS4 will be available for GBA.

Here's hoping 2 and 3 will be translated unofficially using the script from the mobile phone versions

Even though I finished the game already, I bought it when I spotted it at Frys. This game is just that awesome. They only had three left, so leaving without one was out of the question.

I do hope they translate the other two GBA games for US GBA or DS release soon. Please Capcom, please!

Is there a graphic that says "L'objection!" in game? If so I'd love it if someone could rip it out for me.

It wouldn't. "L'objection" is like saying "The objection!". Totally ridiculous. I speak french daily (sadly.), and it'd be just like in english "Objection". So that's probably why this version is French/English, made them one less thing to change

They did have to change "Hold it!"....wonder what it is now...."Attendez!" or "Attends!". Bleargh. Original languages for the win. The game is surprisingly even more hilarious in japanese.

No, it's translated to "UN INSTANT!" (just a second!). The french voicing isn't as catchy as the Original one, not even close to the american one. There are a number of SPELLING errors in it that really, really bolster my undying hate for french translators.

I bought this so I could play it with madame who doesn't speak english and is studying law, but the translation is a huge failure.

I know what you mean, having the horror of french-version movies.

Good thing Montreal's downtown is mostly english. People don't know what they're missing with translations.

Am I the only one being pissed about delays like this one?

Yes, it's a really good game, which is seldom nowadays. However, importing this from Europe when it's released elsewhere is very expensive and doesn't give the publisher the correct signal, but when it finally comes out here it's so late I lost interest.

Where do you stay where you have to import the European version?

What the fuck?
This is probably the MOST addictive game in DS and in addition of the delay we don't have it translated correctly...
I hate Nintendo of Europe... (and Capcom Europe, too...)

I don't understand why they made a French translation, but not a German one. Germany has a very large market for video games.

It's not that I needed a translated version since I imported the US game long ago, but they're really losing customers there...

German people are much more fluent in english than many of us french people. I guess that'd be the reason, considering the shit job made by the (obviously) translators.

I really hope I won't nark off German gamers when I say this but in case I do, apologies in advance anyways I thought that this isn't released in Germany because it is a bit on the violent side or am I basing this too much on old violent games like Carmegeddon or Turok where they remove the blood and replace the humans with robots... or maybe I'm thinking in the past. That said, even though I played the rom, I think I'll buy this since it's nice to have something like this in my collection... soon.

The voice-overs for "objection" and "take that" have been changed in the french version. It's a really high pitched guy voice. Not fit for Pheonix's manly looks...

Your boss from the atorney office is just as sexy...

I've only looked at the first case. In the USA version the victim was back from a trip to Paris. In this version she's back from a trip to Sydney. And the time difference on the thinker clock is the same.

I think the translators did a god job. The humour is typicaly french from france. A bit different from Canadian french. Makes it even funnier for us...

This is my first post on gbatemp. Glad to be here. Greetings to all.

they (obviously) didn't make a german translation since it's not been released in germany (same as with sprung, remember??) ... (read more here on PlanetDS.de -- in german though...)
