Spent an entire summer playing Sega Marine Fishing on the DC with my mates seeing who could catch the biggest fish, loads of fun!

Just go fishing in real life. Its a lot more fun that way (even lazy/fat people can do it with-out breaking a sweat

I've played with fishing sims. before, it doesnt really hold a candle or even a match stick to the real exprierence.

yeah the dreamcast definatly had the best fishing games ever released on any console

sega bass fishing 1 was just too addictive

Then take a portable game system (DS,PSP,GBA) with you and play as you fish. I can almost bet that once you get a bite on your line you will forget all about your game. And yes, other people brings some form of material to keep them busy while they fish.(ie. books, puzzle books, radio/TV (low volume) )

I've had plenty of bites, perhaps if I had a bite from a fish that was more then 5 or 6 pounds things would get a little interesting, like maybe the fishing for those sail fish or something exciting like that... but any fishing I've done as bored me out of my skull, there is a lot more fun to be had on the water then waiting for a fish to bite!

Now where you come from might harbour more exciting fishing, fishing for a great white in the ocean would be somewhat appealing... if I didn't have a HUGE fear of sharks

Any fishing I've done around these parts... I digress, don't want you to go thinking I have a valid point

This was dissapointing. I was hoping fishing on DS would be alot better, but as far as I can tell, the touchscreen is only used by tapping on on-screen buttons... no realing in by swiping across the screen or anything... boring.
