What do you expect when the creator of Pokemon loved to collect bugs when he was a child? Or maybe children in Japan just like bugs alot.
But I believe this is similar to a machine they have in Japan where children would collect cards of bugs, put them into a machince, and watch them fight, just don't know if it's the same thing.
