Not a big week but there are at least one or two games that I'll play and one for the Wii too! Japanese understanding gamers will be happy with this week as there are some good lookers for the DS and Wii.

Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you like a something loves something.

Wanted Level 7

Region: North America Genre: RPG
Developer: Global A Publisher: Atlus Co.

The English release of Sekai wa Atashi de Mawatteru.

QUOTE

My World, My Way features two key game-play elements. One of which is Princess Elise's ability to pout, which prompts enemies and the game's landscape alike to change to her will through the usage of "pout points". By expending Pout Points the player can do a number of things to make tasks in the game easier, including forcing enemies to drop more money or experience points, completing quests automatically and altering the game's current environment to fulfill in-game requests due to certain items and enemies only being in certain areas. Princess Elise has the ability to make an environment area barren, a grassland, a forest, an island, a fire pit, a graveyard, a desert and more. As the player advances in the game, Elise's selfishness is refined and she gains a variety of different commands.

The second element is Elise's pet "Mimic Slime", which the player controls in battle instead of Elise herself. Instead of leveling up via experience points, the Mimic Slime's abilities increase via mimicing the game's enemies. An example being that if it mimics an enemy with a high amount of hit points, its own hit points will increase, and if that enemy has the ability to equip a certain piece of equipment the Mimic Slime will gain that trait too.

The player transverses the game's world via an unconventional world map. Players choose a town area for the princess to visit, and once she enters there will be a grid. One square has a town, one will have a gate, and the rest will be environment squares she can change. In order to unlock the gate, the princess has to fulfill a request from the town's mayor. Once she is in an area, the player can press the A button to enter battles or search for items. After a period of time the area will run out of items or opponents, where the player can then use the princess's will power to refresh the area, drawing more enemies there.

Why do I want to play this? It sounds a bit too pink and fluffy but I get a feeling that this is gonna be a rewarding game and its nice to play a game that rewards you on being selfish though I can see some people in the press who know nothing being pissy about this. Famitsu rated the game 31/40 which means its good...apparently.

Here is a 4 player co-op RPG and it is pirate themed. It also lets you play on WFC. Famitsu rated it 34/40 which means it could be great. That is all I know. Looks very Secret of Mana-ish and I want to play it.

The developers have worked on such games as Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu, Digimon World: Dusk and many Mobile Suit Gundam games.

So this is the big game that SEGA teased and everybody thought that it would either be a retro title starring Mario or a Mario & Sonic platformer...WRONG! Its retro platformer for WiiWare and it looks like Super Mario Bros...if Mario was a cowboy and used a gun instead of jumping on enemies. SEGA say its some sort of parody but others will say its an excuse to do a Mario rip off.

Regardless of this, pixels make me happy so I am looking forward to this. No date for a release outside of Japan but it won't cost much for SEGA to translate and release it so I expect that we'll get it.

The long awaited sequel to the original DS hit adventure game. It is set 2 years after the events of the first game and you play as Ashley who has been invited by her father to visit Juliet Lake. No doubt that something happens and you have to solve some sort of mystery.

I wasn't into the first game at first but several months ago I tried it again and started to enjoy it up until my kid killed my DS. I can't say it was excellent but it was solid enough. This game has the chance to be better has Cing has now had more experience with the genre. No announcement from Nintendo on whether this will be released outside of Japan but the original did sell extremely well so there is no doubt that it will be released in English as Trace Memory R or whatever.

Hands up who wanted to pay £29.99 for a 8 year old GameCube game just for wiimote control? The Gamecube game was a great game, no doubt about it though Pikmin 2 was the true classic and I would approve this if it was a new entry in the series, if it was cheaper to buy or if it had both games packaged but its not so boo hiss Nintendo etc. Also I can pretty much play the GC version whenever I like so the wanted level isn't high either. I reckon the real reason that there is no hard drive for the Wii is so they can release these games at a high price unlike the likes of Microsoft who release old Xbox games for less and digitally.

QUOTE

Part of Nintendo's New Play Control! series of titles of classic Nintendo games remade for the unique control systems of the Wii, this game brings back the first in the Pikmin series with controls designed around the Wii Remote.

This quirky, life-under-the-microscope title delivers a unique experience like few before it with a blend of real-time strategy, adventure, and puzzle elements. Taking advantage of the GameCube's graphics power (woot 2001 graphics ftw!), Pikmin sports lush texture work that brings to life a microscopic fantasy world. Players control Captain Olimar, a lovable little astronaut, who crash landed on a planet inhabited by even more lovable little plant creatures known as Pikmin. Olimar can command these creatures RTS-style, assign them tasks, make them attack foes, and gather resources. The ultimate task is to rebuild Olimar's space ship before a 30-day time window elapses.

One to buy? Not if you already own the GC version but I recomend that if you are to buy then wait a month or so until the price comes down. I also don't see the point in burning this on a disc so I can have wiimote controls as the GC one controlled well enough for me. Don't show Nintendo that you'll buy old games full price. Some might think "well if I buy this then there might be a chance that Pikmin 3 will come out", well its already been confirmed that it is already being made. Either way enjoy this classic.

Destiny Links plays like Children of Mana but with better special effects and seeing from the trailers you can pick your character. I want this game and it'll make up for me not importing FFCC:EOT.

My World My Way looks... interesting. I'll have to try it out when I get the change. Also, XG Blast looks EXTREMELY like Geo Wars. Which is a good thing.
