Awesome week! Lots of games that I've been wanting to play. From the DS to the Wii, I'm gonna be one hell of a busy boy! Looks like my comics/films/child/Mrs* are gonna be neglected for a while.

*Ok not the child or Mrs.

<!--coloro:green--><span style="color:green"><!--/coloro--><b><u>Read to know when a game could be dumped:</u>
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. Another THQ title that I don't wanna burn? WTF?

Ingrid, an eccentric young girl, has brought her cadaverous stuffed animals to life and has taught them an array of destructive spells...ok.

There are two modes, Ingrid's Curse, which is a mix of Tetris and Collapse utilizing both screens, and Battle Royale, which fuses puzzle and battle mechanics for "cut-throat head-to-head puzzle combat." There is no WFC but you can link up with friends.

This should have become a fucking series of games! Originally a title on the SNES called Kirby Super Star and Kirby's Fun Pack in PAL territories and it was awesome and a game I still play on my SNES.

The game features new graphics and fully rendered animated cut scenes. With so many adventures waiting to be unlocked, there will never be a dull moment as Kirby runs, floats, copies enemies and uses Helpers to fight King Dedede and Meta Knight. New modes like Revenge of the King and Meta Knight Ultra await, along with classics like The Great Cave Offensive and Milky Way Wishes. On top of the main modes, there are also three new touch-screen-controlled mini-games that can be played with up to three friends via DS Download Play. Not only that, but players can go on Kirby adventures with a friend via local wireless as well.

I want this game NOW!

I really hope that this one is better than the last one and it should be seeing that this one is built especially for the DS.

Buide your city from ancient times into the future with SimCity Creator for Nintendo DS. Evolve your city through time, starting with ancient times, the middle ages, modern times, present day and the future. Four play modes are available, Challenge, Free Play, Chance Encounter and Gallery, giving options to make the game as challenging or as creative as you want. Earn epic landmarks along the way to enhance your city and mark your progress into the next era. Choose your path through history and make a city for the ages. There is also a free mode where you can just play it sandbox style.

The screens do look like its a version of Sim City DS 2 which onyl came out in Japan and that game was rated farily well over there.

Its nice when these games get released so soon after the Japanese version.

The first Disgaea game for the DS has the same basic concept as other strategy RPGs, but uses many unique features and enhancements. Features include the use of Geo Cubes (magic items that add more depth to multi-player battles, Demon Gadgets (randomly generated items that appear on the battlefield) and more. It is a reworking of the PSP game Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness which was actually a reworking of the PS2 game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

The game will have new characters, storylines and features added to the DS version as well as the touchscreen stuff too. The bottom screen gives a zoomed-in view of your selected character, while the top screen provides a bird's-eye view of the action. Players can choose to play with the stylus, making selections on the touch screen, or the entire game can be played with buttons in a more traditional manner.

The original voice acting will also make the DS version but the English version will only have English voice, unless someone hacks it of course.

Now I finished this on the PS2 and I liked it a lot, so much so that I finished the PSP version. Will I finish the DS one? Hell fucking yeah, this game looks just as awesome and should play as well too! There have ben though, reports that this is a quick and dirty port and has a few bugs. If true I hope that they have been sorted out for this release.

Its been so long since we had a good Batman game...*thinks back to the last one*...Batman & Robin SNES/Mega Drive! Rumours are insisting that Pandemic are doing one that is set after The Dark Knight but there hasn't been an announcement as EA think its a bit shit and they've got this "hey we're not gonna do shit games anymore" thing going on. Anyway we have this to tie us over if that one ever appears.

Basing itself more on Batman: The Animated Series more than any of the recent films or comics, the game will star Batman and his sidekick Robin fighting crime and villainy in Gotham City. Batman's most dangerous and murderous foes have all escaped from Arkham Asylum and divided themselves into three groups, each led by a "clever" and well-known villain. Various gameplay footage shows Joker and Harley luring Commissioner Gordon to an abandoned amusement park where they take him captive to use in a trap for Batman. Others include Catwoman stealing a valuable diamond and the Riddler outlining his plans with his group.

There will be 30 levels in the game (15 for the heroes and 15 for the villains) as well as some secret levels, including Wayne Manor in which Bruce Wayne is an unlockable character. You unlock villain levels as you progress through the game. The hub for the heroes, similar to those in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, will be the Batcave, where you can buy figures, and see the unlockables. Alternatively, the hub for the villains is Arkham Asylum. There are many different environments in the game, usually based on the villains Crime style including an Ice Cream Factory, a Garden Center, the Gotham Sewers, and Gotham's seedy underbelly.

Hopefully it should be better than the last game which was a bit of a back step compared to the LEGO Star Wars games. To be honest I recommend that people should play the console versions as they should be virtually the same but most people only have a DS. Its better to look at the vids as the screens published are kinda shitty.

This didn't do too well in Japan and its reviews where a bit meh.

Featuring a variety of interesting characters that come to life via the words of Junko Kawano, script writer for Suikoden IV, Time Hollow enables players to guide Ethan Kairos on his quest to solve the mysterious disappearance of his family. While on his quest, Ethan comes across the mysterious Hollow Pen - an uncanny object that has the unique power to open portals to the past. Using the stylus pen and dual screen capabilities of the DS, players can use the Hollow Pen to draw portals between past and present. As they progress through their journey, they will encounter a variety of interesting characters that help them guide Ethan on his search for his family.

I'm still gonna try this title despite its Japanese reviews, I'm a sucker for these sort of adventure titles.

Another PSX to DS port but this one is less known than others.

Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure is a musical RPG that has musical numbers, complete with vocals. Players will take on the role of Cornet, who can talk to puppets and has a magical horn that grants wishes. She must save Prince Ferdinand, who has been turned into stone by an evil witch.

Added to the remake is a new easier to follow map, some new characters & some new touch screen stuff. The original wasn't a classic but it was still pretty decent.

The fourth episode in the Dept. Heaven saga. The first was Riviera (GBA/Wonderswan/PSP), which was decent, the 2nd was Yggdra Union (GBA) which was also pretty good and the 3rd doesn't exist but Sting say it will one day but NitN will be its sequel...yeah I'm confused too.

From IGN's preview:
Players will find that battles are handled almost seamlessly, with attacking and defending happening in near-real-time as players can chose to end their turn at any time. In previous titles in the series, players organized groups of units called "unions" whose attributes would change depending on the gender of the majority of units in the union. The number of units in each union can eclipse 40 members leading to battles of epic proportions. Players use the bottom screen to navigate their units on a grid-based system to issue commands such as attack, defend or hold. Once the battles timer has run out, gamers can rearm their units with weapons and items before entering the battle phase once again. The top screen is used for the battle animations and dialog that will drive the game's plot.

Its also said that some elements from the last two game may return and the sound and graphics are said to push the DS to its limits and the developers are trying their best to use everything that the DS has to offer. Whether it comes out over here is up to Atlus who has published the series so far. Famitsu scored this 32/40 which is a very good score for them.

So you wait for one Katamari game and two come out in one month! One is called Tornado and has you playing a cat that can turn into a tornado and another is this one where you play a dog that eats cars. This game was featured on the very first release thread I did back in early 2007, and its finally coming out!

This is for people who loved Katamari Damashi, and want more fun, silly puzzle action. The premise is simple: You're a little dog with a big appetite. His goal is to be the biggest dog ever, and he'll achieve that by eating everything in a level - from small meals to big buildings.

This will be released as Prey The Stars in Europe on the 3rd of October and it should be out as various mags have scored it. And those scores were? Well some are 7/10 and anotehr was something like 73/100 which means its an good game but maybe one you'll get when its cheap.

SEGA have gone RPG mad this year with so many gamesannounced, a lot of which are looking mighty fine and it looks like they want to take Square Enix's share of success in Japan.

The game takes place in a fictional world ruled by anthropomorphic animals. Humans live as slaves, and a group of terrorists dubbed the "World Destruction Committee" intends to destroy the world in rebellion. They are opposed by the beastmen's "World Salvation Committee." The game plays in a 3D environment with a rotatable camera. The battle system will be turn-based but will feature time-based and fighting game elements

Its by the makers of the Luminous Arc series, and they also feature members who have worked on the Xenogears games too. For those interested, Famitsu gave this game a good 31/40 score.

Bioware finally give DS owners some of their good RPG stuff! Ok the subtitle is a bit poopy but hey at least its not called Sonicles!

Sonic Chronicles mixes a rich story, hand-painted visuals, fast-paced team combat, and wireless collectible trading into a uniquely compelling adventure. Players will customize their party and characters, choosing from Sonic, Tails, Amy Rose, Knuckles,Shadow, Rouge, and more, and prepare to defeat a menacing new enemy. Rhythmically tapping anddragging with the stylus in Sonic-style battles, players can level up and use Rings to buy new specialattacks as they progress through 20 different and beautifully hand-drawn areas including new andclassic Sonic locales. With an engaging storyline, lightning fast attacks, high production values, and impeccable visuals, Sonic Chronicles allows gamers to experience Sonic in a whole new way.

There is online trading and collecting, where you collect several types of artificial Chao lifeforms, each with varying power-ups and abilities that help in combat and elsewhere. Players can exchange their Chao with friends via local wireless play.

Should be a mighty fine RPG that is different to most that we get.

Ah I remember playing this on my Amiga.

The simplicity of Pipemania makes it accessible to all ages. The player must lay down a pre-ordained set of pipes on a tiled grid in order to keep the constantly flowing Flooze moving for as long as possible without it spilling out. The game requires quick thinking, hand-eye co-ordination, forward thinking and keen spatial awareness.

I hope there is enough there to make it worthy of the price.

Previously a college project and then bought by THQ to be made into a full game. This is said to be a potential classic and could be a big sleeper hit.

Only de Blob can flip, bounce and paint his way past the all-powerful I.N.K.T. Corporation to launch a color revolution and save Chroma City from a future without color. Battle against massive tank battalions, speedy I.N.K.T. racers and elite Inky soldiers on your quest to free the citizens of Chroma City. Avoid hot plates, electric shocks and inky turrets to create your own path to the impenetrable I.N.K.T. Fortress. Just remember that the struggle to reclaim Chroma City is to be fought on your terms. Remix the city in your own image using custom paints, patterns and soundtracks. Super-size your blob to attack larger and stronger enemies. Join the Color Revolutionaries to refine your skills while making a mess. The race to rescue Chroma City has just begun, and only de Blob can save the world from a black-and-white future.

There will also be multiplayer for up to 4 players which is done either online or split screen. Every preview and hands on that I've read about this game have praised this highly. If you like this, please buy it and show THQ that we don't all want Nicktoons games.

Finally a new Wario sidescroller and one that won't be boring like "Master of Disguise". Ok I really liked the Wario Ware games but the Land series is how this game advanced above the usual Mario Universe character spin off game.

The smelly, bad-mannered alter ego of Mario returns! With the Wii Remote controller turned sideways like an old-school controller, veterans and newcomers alike can run, jump and smash their way through hectic side-scrolling stages. Players shake the Wii Remote to help Wario take down his enemies, empty bags of treasure or cause earthquakes. Best of all, there are numerous stages each offering multiple missions to keep players coming back again and again to unlock everything, collect more coins or just improve their best times.

Its so nice to see Ninetendo make a 2D title on the Wii, especially one that looks so damn good too. Reviews have been very postive, the worst one I've seen gave it 78% while the highest is 88%. I reckon fans of the Land games will rate this higher. Really looking forward to play this and unusually for a Nintendo published game this will be released in US/Europe & Australia in the same week.

There is very little hype about this game, it looks like it could be very good.

Be a powerful mayor -- create, enjoy and destroy your ultimate city. Start by zoning your city, constructing homes, businesses, factories, skyscrapers, freeways, railroads, and much more. SimCity Creator includes a completely new user interface, designed specifically for the Wii and the Wii remote. You'll discover many ways to customize your city, including 13 city styles to explore, such as American, European and Asian themes.

* Build -- Construct amazing cities with a wide variety of choices. Create a New York-style metropolis, a romantic European city, an exotic Asian paradise, a futuristic Cyberscape or combine them to make something truly unique.
* Destroy -- Lay waste to your city with a variety of epic disasters, including earthquakes, meteors, and giant monsters. Prepare for and handle unexpected crises.
* Create -- Create your city with your Wii remote, using it to draw curvy roads, shape the layout out your neighborhoods, and place landmarks of your choice.
* Hire -- Hire assistants who help you run your city and can build new neighborhoods based on their unique personalities.
* Fly -- When you feel like getting a closer look, get into a helicopter or airplane and fly through your city and check out all the details of your creation.

Its said to play exactly how you want it to, the Wiimote makes playing effortless and that the motion stuff is really well suited to the game. There are also various mini games included which instead of detracting from the gameplay, they sound like they add to it. For example there is a Katamari like style one where a steel ball is dropped into yor city and using motion controls you destry the city with it. Should be the best console Sim City game since the SNES game. Famitsu gave this 28/40 but then they do tend to be wrong with none RPG's.

Finally a good 3D Batman game!

LEGO Batman: The Videogame brings the one-and-only Caped Crusader to life in a completely original storyline. Players will take control of the Dynamic Duo, Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Robin, as well as bonus hero Nightwing to fight Gotham City’s most notorious criminals including The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, Scarecrow, and many more. Players can also explore their wicked side and fight their way through the game as the villains, experiencing the game from a completely different point of view with all-new criminal objectives.

With a collection of high-tech suits, gadgets and cutting-edge vehicles on hand, players are able to step into the unique LEGO Batman universe to bring super villains to justice – or, as the villains, to run amok in Gotham City.

So far reviews have been very good stating that its the best LEGO game yet. They also say that the frustrating bits of the series are back but the good parts make up for it. The humour and parodies from the LEO Star Wars games also return after being someone lacking in Indiana Jones. Also the game is said to have better levels as the makers didn't have to recreate scenes from any of the films or TV shows though there will be the odd nod to most of the films and shows.

Battle Rage: The Robot Wars the third person shooter with elements of a beat'em'up game that allows a player to control giant robots. Battles between the robots take place on carefully selected battlegrounds (so called "arenas") and they are short, quick, brutal skirmishes. The player can fight alone (versus one, two or even three opponents) or in a team against a common foe. Every robot has its own weapons (for melee and distance combat), additional weapon types can be collected on the arena.

The player can modify a robot's parameters in the single player mode as well as in the multiplayer to fit its possibilities to his/her own fighting style. Also many new, powerful robots will wait for the player to unlock in the story mode. The Tournament has begun.

Well it has a chance at being good right? Not really, its using the imfamous GODS engine which is pretty piss poor.

The words "ubisoft" & "a port to the Wii" don't fill me with positivity, especially this title which has been delayed so many times its just stupid. However it is by Gearbox who usually do quality ports.

Brothers In Arms Double Time brings the best of this acclaimed WWII action franchise to the Wii system. Fight actual Airborne Infantry battles of D-Day recreated using thousands of official photos, maps, after-action reports and eyewitness accounts, while using your Wii Remote to command and lead your team to victory.

* Combining all 31 playable levels: play as Sergeants Matt Baker and Joe Hartsock, leading your squad behind enemy lines
* Fight actual Airborne Infantry battles of D-Day recreated using thousands of official photos, maps, After-Action Reports and eyewitness accounts under the direction of Military and Historical Director, Col. John Antal
* Close-quarter urban environments and a next-generation artificial intelligence system
* Issue orders and perform military gestures to command and lead your team using the Wii Remote

Now the levels on this were from the excellent "Road To Hill 30" & "Earned In Blood" but the package itself is actually from the PSP title "Brothers in Arms D-Day" which reviews stated that it was "ok". Damn you Ubisoft, give Wii owners some damn respect. I can't find no screens for the Wii version so expect PSP quality visuals. I guess we should save our cash and get CoD5 instead or if you havent alreday, Medal of Honour Heroes 2.

I was looking forward to this but various hands ons & reviews have stated that this game has been ruined by the controls, that they are not as responisve as the Dreamcast classic.

Playing as the grinning, sombrero-topped monkey, Amigo, players shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk like maracas, in time with the visual beats of the music on-screen. Samba De Amigo is packed with lively stages and a host of colorful characters.

There will be 43 songs (23 of which are new to the Wii version) ranging from classics to modern tracks, but for me the tracklisting is a little lacking. This is also one of the first "Pay & Play" games on the Wii and you can download new tracks online, but you do have to pay Wii Points for them. I'm hoping that this is a good version, if not I still have the original.

Sigh before being renamed Lost In Blue, this series was called Survival Kids and was very good. Sadly LiB games have been pretty turdy on the DS can a Wii game turn the series around?

Experience a survival adventure like never before through colorful 3D graphics and the uniquely interactive capabilities of the Nintendo Wii. You find yourself stranded on a mysterious island filled with lush forests, a sunken ship, ancient ruins, and an active volcano. With the help of a trusty pet and a new friend, you'll explore the mysteries of the island to find a way out or make a new life for yourselves there forever. # Dependable pets improve item gathering and provide entertainment by playing music or dancing with you & you can also recruit a friend for over 40 mini-games, including new, cooperative games – the better you play, the bigger your reward.

Japanese magazine Famitsu gave this game 34/40 which is extremely good for them but the hands on previews I've read say the game seemed tedious and just like the DS titles. I really hope Famitsu are right with this game.

One of the first Wii games announced and its finally out after being delayed due to various natural disasters happening.

Survive nature's most devastating catastrophes in Disaster: Day of Crisis, a panic-inducing survival game for Wii. When a wave of natural disasters pummels the United States, a rogue special forces unit takes advantage of the chaos and seizes a nuclear weapon. Players race a car down a mountain to escape a roaring pyroclastic flow, dodge toppling buildings during a devastating earthquake and swim for their lives in a raging flood. No matter what happens, fight to survive.

I'm not sure what to make of this game, I've liked Monolith Softwares (the Japanese company) games but this looks to be kinda on rails and not the hardcore action game that I thought it would be. Also gameplay has recently said to be kinda similar to a light gun game and reading about the motion based gameplay it sort of sounds like a more interactive version of Dragons Lair. There are also car chase parts where you have the Wiimote on its side like you do for racing games. The game will hit Europe on October 24th, no US date yet.

Combining the motion sensing Wii Remote with a custom mat controller, this game lets players use their whole body to participate in more than 10 fun and unique activities and multiplayer challenges.

Building upon the Wii Remote's unique attributes, Outdoor Life introduces a custom mat controller that lets players manipulate the on-screen action with a combination of hand gestures and movements with their feet across the mat's eight sensor pads. From rowing and dodging obstacles on a white-water rafting expedition to clearing an obstacle course, each of the game's more than 10 activities features a unique control scheme designed to provide an active and fun gameplay experience. Keeping track of each player's in-game accomplishments, Outdoor Life provides detailed information on personal best scores and times as well as updates on the progress of their friends and family with the game. The game also supports unique competitive and multiplayer challenges for up to two players such as mine cart racing and rope climbing on a single mat.

Sounds ok? Dunno.
