Still going slow for releases on the DS but at least there is one decent looking title to come. On the Wii its not too bad, there are a few I'll try out.

Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you like a something loves something.

Its coming out this time, honest! From the people who made the cult hit "Nervous Brickdown" comes a game that looks like it tops it on every level. The game is sort of Space Invaders/Galaxian but instead of shooting the enemy with bullets, you shoot fireworks at them and make pretty displays at the same time.

QUOTE

In Big Bang Mini, your main objective is to use the stylus to create fireworks and destroy the waves of enemies that loom overhead. If you miss, you'll be forced to tackle another challenge: avoiding the sparks created by your falling fireworks. Celebrate the completion of a level by designing the Final Bouquet, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that will proclaim your victory.

This is the type of game the DS was designed for. Pretty and simple while using the DS touchscreen well and also it has many modes so that it'll be a long lasting game.

I like these games as for some reason I like to tap a lot but this one looks more akin to Sonic & Mario style play and to be honest, rubbing isn't as good as tapping...unless its with a person. Still it might be good. Note: There are two dates for this game, one for 20th & one for 27th.

I couldn't care less about this game. Oh yeah there was a Wii version released last year, reviews weren't good for it.

Developer: KOEI Publisher: KOEI

Like Pokemon but fancy a change from the turn based battles? Would like to race those monsters instead? This is the game for you, gotta race 'em all?

QUOTE

In Monster Racers, players will embark on a quest that will take them around the globe in search of monster breeds to train, nurture and race. Throughout their journeys, players will build lasting friendships with new allies, and encounter daunting challenges from a bevy of rival trainers. The real fun comes from capturing wild monsters in their native habitats. As the player progresses, he or she can explore different regions, venture into secret habitats and discover more adventures. The game’s race courses are filled with challenging obstacles that will test both the players’ and monsters’ skills in controlling speed, jumping ability, and reaction time. With enough courage, skill and practice, players can make it to the greatest race in the world, the "Super Cup."

Using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection, players can join up to three other trainers to compete in race tournaments or to capture new monsters on safari.

I like the sound of this, sounds nearly different enough to stand apart from the other Pokeclones, sure it does kinda look homebrewy & the characters are pretty damn generic but I dunno it could be good fun. This will be released outside of Japan as Monster Racers but so far no date has been set yet.

Looking forward to this, god knows the Wii is desperate for a good new racer. No online sadly, which would have made this better I feel. This will sell for 1000 points.

* Lasting Appeal and Options – Each title contains multiple options for the player, including 2-3 different ships which boast different weapons and special moves.

Karous was on the Dreamcast (released in 2007 and was also the last ever official 3rd party Dreamcast release). Other two included are; Radio Allergy (aka Radirgy) was originally on the Dreamcast & PS2 and was pretty much the same as Karous only with a cell shaded look. It was also meant to be released on the GameCube in 2007 but was cancelled due to lack of interest. Chaos Field was also on the Dreamcast as well as Gamecube & PS2. It was the only one of the titles to actually be released outside of Japan too. All titles are verticle shooters and all are decent at best, only for the hardcore shoot-em-up fans.

Wanted Level 6

Region: North America Genre: Virtual Life/Sim game
Developer: Electronic Arts Publisher: Electronic Arts

EA bring Nintendo gamers an exclusive Sim game to us, this time its all about wild animals.

QUOTE

In SimAnimals, players can engage with the wild world of animals in their natural surroundings in an immersive and tactile way. In this game you are challenged to engage, touch, move and try to control more than 60 animals as you journey deeper and deeper into the forest. You control an on-screen animated hand that allows you to reach out and touch, pick up and move everything in the game from foxes and bears to trees and flowers. Cohabitate with these animals in their natural surroundings, and based on how you treat them, the animals will come to know and love – or dislike you! Have fun developing relationships with wild animals and their families, and experience the humor and drama of surviving in the wilderness.

In SimAnimals on the Wii, take up to three of your friends with you on a forest adventure in cooperative play mode. The forest, filled with exciting wildlife, is big enough for you and your pals.

This sort of sounds interesting, in a Viva Pinata sort of way though I wish it was more realistic & graphic but instead its more cartoony. I know they want the kid audience too but we get to see animals kill and fuck each other in documentaries so why sugar coat it in this game? This could have been a chance to educate as well as be a fun game. I'll get it for the Mrs but maybe I'll give it a go too and throw some animals around. A DS version will be out the week later & also looks decent.

Anyone else wanting a beautiful looking spooky action RPG on the Wii? This is for you and its from the developers of the well rated 360/PS3 RPG, Eternal Sonata. The team also co-developed the two excellent Baten Kaitos games on the Gamecube.

QUOTE

An RPG from Japanese combo-publisher Namco Bandai. Fragile takes place in the near future, in a world that has lost its population. You play as Seto, a young boy who wanders around, searching through the abandoned cities and facilities of this world, trying to learn the truth behind the disappearance of all the people, and to find someone to keep him company.

The Wiimote is used as an aid in exploration. Seto uses a flashlight to light up his surroundings. You get to use the Wiimote to directly point the flashlight in whatever direction you like. Seto also has a metal detector. Once again, the Wiimote is used to directly operate this device. In addition to exploration, Seto has to deal with ghosts who appear in the ruins. We're not sure how he fights these foes, but it seems that a stick of some form is involved.

Hopefully this'll be a big hit on the Wii, its a game that RPG fans are longing for on the Wii. This will be released in English under the title Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon though at the moment there is no date set.

Aw man, you got me excited by putting the region for Fraglie as North America. Big Bang Mini looks like fun, but nothing amazing tbh. A couple of early reviews said it was pretty good, but nothing special I think.
Anyway, I've got a few games to finish. Primarily Chrono Trigger

Thanks as always!

Oh, and btw, will someone please convince these sw developers to stop coming out with these track and field titles! I mean, for the love of God, what fun is it to see how fast you can rub or tap on your touchscreen???

Huh.. sidescrolling, platformer racing game: now that's fairly originally. And how is it anything like a pokemon clone? any game that has monsters in it these days is a pokemon clone? cmon people you were all screaming (some still are) that Elebits was a pokemon clone! Ugh....

As to Big Bang Mini it looks pretty interesting, I'd give it a go...

Very curious about Big Bang, and I'll be getting Hot Rod Show as soon as it hits the WiiWare channel next Monday. Heck, if you can get one good game each week, you're doing good. So, it looks like we're doin' good.

Still hopeful Fragile comes over to the U.S.

Because the main parts are a RPG where you collect monsters and battle them, the racing part is replacing the battling. It does tell you in the write up.

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
