Yeah only three new DS games this week, but at least they look like they are worth playing. Same for the Wii only a lot better.

Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. These are just my opinions, its best to try all the games yourself as some games that I don't like, others do.

Awarded to games that show promise or have had a lot of effort put into them. They may not end up to be that good but at least the developers bothered to put effort into them

Awarded to games that I know will either be bad or are just quickly made games with a lack of style or effort.

Previews for this have been very positive stating that everything you want is in this game and more. I don't see no mention of wi-fi puzzle downloads or sharing though.

As well as over 1000 crossword puzzles, there are also anagram and word search games to partake in. The game will be a budget priced game just like Nintendo's other casual titles.

So far this looks like the closest thing to F-Zero that DS owners will get, come on Nintendo the GBA had three F-Zero games all I'm asking for is one DS.

Based on the movie, this game has had some promising previews stating that though its not as fast as F-Zero it is a good substitute for it and that it controls very nicely.

I'm looking forward to playing this.

This game gets pushed back every week now.

When their grandfather passed away, Mel and Mark were left in charge of his toy shop with the condition that if they couldn't make it successful within three years, it would be donated to the city. It's up to you to help the two make toys, satisfy demanding customers, explore the city, and ultimately return their grandfather's toy shop back to the booming business it once was!

Not aimed at the hardcore simulation crown, this game is more for kids. You don't pay bills or taxes the gameplay is purely about the inventory. As well as running a toy shop you can also wander around the town and get advice from various town folk. Sounds good for kids, not for me but beats the usual drivel aimed at the little ones.

Now this I like! Been keeping an eye on this one for about a year now, I even did a little thread but no one gave a fuck then and appears they don't now.

Across more than 15 different land, air and sea missions, the goal of Blast Works is to destroy enemy ships while continually growing your own into a massive craft by absorbing their fragments. The larger a "fused ship" is, the easier it is to protect from the growing onslaught of enemy firepower. Players can also upgrade their ship in the Hangar, can even team up with a partner in Cooperative Mode to blast enemies, fuse debris to grow their ships and finish the mission as a team.

Not only that but you can also design your own levels, ships, enemy ships, objects and bosses. Assign Bullet Patterns, Sound FX, movement patterns & hit boxes and then trade them via WFC. Multiplayer is for 2-4 players with many modes and once you have finished the game you'll be able to unlock four bonus games Tumiki Fighters (which this is based off_, Gunroar, Torus Trooper and rRootage. Tumiki Fighters is actually freeware and the PC version can be fount here

Seriously people, if you enjoy this game buy it, support the devs and show publishers that you appreiciate games with thought and effort. Nintendo Power gave it an impressive 8.5 which is rare for them to do on a 3rd party game that has had little hype.

So this is EA/Steven Spielbergs big Wii puzzle title, a hell of a lot of good stuff has been said for this game, so many promising previews that says it all works well and the controls are perfect.

Boom Blox offers action-packed interactive activities that takes Wii play to a new level of creativity and fun with single player gaming as well as co-op and versus battle either simultaneously or turn-based with one Wii controller. Players can explore the visceral gameplay -- perfectly suited for the Wii's interactivity—that keeps them destroying their way through brain-twisting challenges. They can interact with entertaining characters such as the Blox-laying chickens or the baseball throwing monkeys, who bring personality to the Tiki, Medieval, Frontier, and Haunted themed environments. Additionally, players can remix any level of the game in Create Mode using props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked during the game. Players can also virtually build anything they can dream up. Plus, their designs can then be shared with friends or used to challenge others to solve their newly created puzzle via WiiConnect24

Looks like another must have Wii title that could last a long time. Reviews so far have been very good.

As with the DS version, this is getting great previews. Looks very good actually, maybe no F-Zero but better than most movie licensed games.

The game is designed as a game that players can build their own racing track, and it also has a "choose-your-own-adventure" aspect that presents the experience as a series of choices that the player must make in gameplay.

In Speed Racer, players take on the role of the characters from the film, getting behind the wheels of each character’s signature vehicles to experience firsthand the film’s high adrenaline, combative racing style. The car-fu style of action within the game closely represents the action style designed by the Wachowski brothers for the film.

The game is also out on PS2 later in the year but the developers say that the Wii version is their biggest priority and that the PS2 version was only started after the Wii version was 80% complete. Could be special, could not but it looks like the developers have put effort into this.

Now I thought that this was a WiiWare title but its apparently also a retail one too, priced £14.99. This is from what Play.com says so don't really be surprised if it doesn't get released.

The idea for the game is to pump up the bubbles using the Wii remote to create bigger explosions. The concept is deceptively simple. Pop is a bubble shooting game with strong puzzle elements and four player drop-in, drop-out multiplayer. Once the game kicks off, a timer at the top of the screen counts down. As you pop bubbles, you get a small boost to your time, keeping you in the game. If you shoot the background, you get a time penalty. Three or four shots like that and the game ends, leaving you to lick your wounds. The strategy slowly becomes apparent - bigger bubbles give you more time, but smaller ones give you more points - which is key in multiplayer. Thus, being quick-thinking and accurate are the skills you need. The game's main mode is a progressive arcade mode where you and up to three other friends combo-pop your way through 16 gorgeous waves of bubbles, and other single- and multi-player modes are included as well.

The woman in the video looks like she is giving handjobs...classy.

In Air Traffic Chaos, players use the Touch Screen to safely manage takeoffs, gate assignments and landings for all incoming and outgoing airport traffic for 14 different airlines in varying weather conditions. Outstanding performance will earn players 16 different merit badges, including Veteran ATC and ATC Legend. An in-depth tutorial teaches players the basics of managing the busy skies while three difficulty levels with five stages in each offer plenty of challenge. Players can also share their high scores with up to 7 friends while Rumble Pack support makes the experience more realistic for aspiring air traffic controllers.

The fourth episode in the Dept. Heaven saga. The first was Riviera (GBA/Wonderswan/PSP), which was decent, the 2nd was Yggdra Union (GBA) which was also pretty good and the 3rd doesn't exist but Sting say it will but NitN will be its sequel...yeah I'm confused too.

From IGN's preview:
Players will find that battles are handled almost seamlessly, with attacking and defending happening in near-real-time as players can chose to end their turn at any time. In previous titles in the series, players organized groups of units called "unions" whose attributes would change depending on the gender of the majority of units in the union. The number of units in each union can eclipse 40 members leading to battles of epic proportions. Players use the bottom screen to navigate their units on a grid-based system to issue commands such as attack, defend or hold. Once the battles timer has run out, gamers can rearm their units with weapons and items before entering the battle phase once again. The top screen is used for the battle animations and dialog that will drive the game's plot.

Its also said that some elements from the last two game may return and the sound and graphics are said to push the DS to its limits and the developers are trying their best to use everything that the DS has to offer. Whether it comes out over here is up to Atlus who has published the series so far.

Here is a game I forgot all about. I featured it last year when the Japanese version was to come out in November and then nothing was heard from it since as it was delayed. Well the Japanese version is still TBA 2008 but Fillpoint are bring this nice looking game to the US in September.

Basically you are an alien cat that can, by spinning around and around, turn himself into a tornado that can swallow up cities! That's a good thing, because your Prince has been captured, and not you as Toki must tear the land up to try to get him back. The game uses touchscreen to control its wild action.

Yeah it sounds like Katamri but if Namco won't give us that on the DS than I'll happily take a rip off, anyway I'd rathert play a Cat that can turn into a Tornado anyway. I wish it was out sooner.

I have a feeling that Toy Shop will turn out to be a decent title ...

Commando does look like it may be fun, also ...

Well both are based on the same series and, what wasn't a Mario Kart or a Street Fighter clone back then?

Really looking forward to Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy -which looks ultra fun- and Boom Blox -just because I've been hearing about Spielberg wanting to make a game since the N64 days-.

Goord job Hadrian [IMG]

I'd like to dedicate it to the Mosley family.

Actually Speed Racers had the style of both...kinda. The logo ripped off Street Fighter and it even had a E. Honda style character on it.

Thanks lagman or as my kid calls you...laglag.

You put some of the Commando screenshots in Air Traffic Chaos.

Speed racers look decent, gonna try it out. Apparently, Rain's in the movie. Some Korean singer that I have a few songs of. Interested in Nights in the Nightmare as well. Looking forward to some of the games. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for the many error reports, I thought I checked this one over but the one I checked was the one I'll be posting post next week (I'm ahead by 3 weeks!).

All fixed now...I think.
