The series returns, and its first since the 5th game on the Super Famicom back in 1995, its also an all new game (shock!).
Herakles no Eikou (aka as Glory of Hercules over here) is a series of RPG games by the now defunct Data East. It is said to be a lot like the Dragon Quest series only with an ancient Greek setting & theme, which I'd love to see on my DS. All the characters, places and monsters are from Greek myths, it was immensley popular over in Japan but sadly never got released over here. There are five games in the series; two on the Famicom (NES), two on the Super Famicom (SNES) and one for the Gameboy (erm Gameboy). The Famicom & Super Famicom games have been released on Virtual Console.
This game you play as a young boy who, having lost his memory, sets out on a journey to find out who he is. Pretty quickly into his journey, he learns that he's immortal. Not only that, but the friends whom he meets on his journey also happen to be immortal.
Outside of an expansive story that's set in the vast Olympus, the game features a hefty turn-based battle system. You can make Hercules and friends perform standard attacks, magic, skills, and abilities in order to defeat your foes. The game puts the stylus to use during battle, asking that you input touch commands in order to add power to your attacks. The combat system is turn based. Players select skills, attacks and spells. After the plan is set, commands on the touch screen can boost attacks. There is also a limited grid system, which suggests range plays a role in Hercules no Eikou: Tamashii no Shoumei.
Its by Paon who did the dreadful Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast but the awesome DK King of Swing & DK Jungle Climber, they actually own the rights to the series so maybe they're fans, if so this could be yet another classic on the DS and there is a chance that we could see it in the West.

Always preferred 1st person dungeon crawlers for some reason. Here is one that has a nice style. You can play either with retro wireframed graphics (ooh white on black!) or you can go with a cell shaded, more detailed look. Also you can choose to have 8 bit sound too, which is just bleeps but I like bleeps.
Apparently the game will be short with only only 40 quests to complete and 80+ monsters to fight. D&D/Wizardry like rules/gameplay, it uses a DICE to generate stats & combat is text Based. Would be nice if Atlus bought us this but I think it is slim.

I swear that this has been released before but it ain't on the release list so perhaps that was on GBA.

Where the hell did this come from? English version of a Japanese game that came out in 2005.
Join Hamu Tarou on a quest to save Hatena Princess, who's been locked away. You'll have to clear 450 "Nazo Nazo" mysteries as you work your way through the game. Game sharing and two types of wireless play are included.
A lot of places are listing this but I really doubt it'll come out on that date, I'm sure Nintendo would have announced it first.

I remember when System 3 did good games, but that was back in the C64/Amiga games. Still there revision of Impossible Mission on the DS was decent.
Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is a re-creation of Ferrari's own racing series, which sees both professional and amateur drivers taking to the world's most famous race tracks in 430 Challenge race cars. Developed by racing game specialists Eutechnyx, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli draws upon the developer's years of experience with racing titles and includes a uniquely magical touch from GP2 driver Bruno Senna, nephew of F1 legend Ayrton and technical consultant on the game's handling. 50 expertly-modelled Ferraris are available, along with the full complement of Ferrari Challenge series tracks, balanced handling, lifelike opponent AI and a comprehensive custom vinyl editor.
Graphically, the Wii could do better. Gameplay is said to be "unique" but is probably just the same as all Wii racers.
The developers previous games include the terrible Pimp My Ride & Hot Wheels: Beat that the boring Big Mother Truckers but also the ok Street Racing Syndicate. I'm not expecting good things to be honest

Apparently this game has been described as Zoo Keeper meets Qix.
Critter Round-Up is a puzzle game for up to four players. Players are challenged with building fences to separate different critter species into their own area, while avoiding predators and other mischievous animals attempting to stop you from rounding them up. Players can corral exotic critters from five environments encompassing 50 levels, with gameplay modes including a co-op Adventure Mode as well as special co-op challenges for up to four players. There's also a Marathon Mode that supports up to four layers on a nearly infinite number of levels, as well as a collection of Critter Games, an entertaining selection of mini games such as Snowball Soccer and Predator Rampage.

Star Soldier R brings back Hudsons classic shooting franchise with new 3D graphics. Like traditional vertically-scrolling shooters, the game features a top-down perspective and players fly from the bottom of the screen towards the top, shooting at any ship or structure that obstructs their path. As players progress, they can collect power-ups to increase their weapon or shield strength, and an all-new Force System enables gamers to collect up to five orbiting satellites that can be held close to the ship for defensive cover, or can be sent out for additional firepower. Players can also decide how they want to play, choosing from three control schemes - Nunchuk and Wii Remote, Wii Remote only (held sideways) or the Classic Controller.
This tournament-style outer space shooter also challenges players to achieve a high score in either a 2-Minute or 5-Minute Mode. In 2-Minute Mode, players have just enough time to battle through one action-packed stage and one giant boss. In 5-Minute Mode, they also have enough time to fight their way through a second level with its own boss. Additionally, players can play Quick Shot Mode to see if they have the fastest trigger fingers around! Once gamers have their scores, they can go to the online leaderboards to see how they compare with other players in their region and can keep playing to improve their ranking.
A 5 minute game though...not really worth 800 points is it?

A big approval from me on this one. It is practically a remake of the GBC game, but that game is very very good and is well suited to the WiiWare line up.
The gameplay in Toki Tori is a blend of two genres. While it looks like a platform game, it's a puzzle game by heart. Players will have to look and plan ahead carefully while using a variety of items, such as the Telewarp, Freeze-o-Matic and InstantRock™ to name but a few. There will be new content as well as the old levels as well as an overhaul in graphics, sound & control. It'll also let you use a second WiiMote for on screen drawing, though I have no idea in what that would entail.
I hope it does well enough for a DS sequel. No idea how many points it requires but I will update when I know.

A prequel to the DS game that erm hasn't come out yet (so why not say the DS game is the sequel?). The game's story mode features a navy captain who is sent undercover to retrieve "The Key of Dreams", a dangerous artefact, from the hands of the famous pirate Blackbeard. To do this he must travel to seven different locations in 3 different parts of the world, finding out where Blackbeard is located and eventually battling him.
Recruiting new crew members, such as lookouts, navigators and master gunners to increase the skills of your ship, is of course also a necessity. You can also use a variety of weapons, like sea mines, rockets, flame cannons, and of course regular cannons to battle the various opponents you will face on the seas. The story mode has a total of 10 levels.
Aside from the story mode there is a Skirmish mode, with 35 small stages where you must battle 2 or 3 AI opponents. There is also a multiplayer battle mode, where 2 to 4 players can battle it out with each other (Multiplayer has the same 35 stages as Skirmish mode). In multiplayer mode you can also select some stranger ships, such as enchanted ice ships and ghost ships. Added new screens and it looks pretty much the same as the DS game but prettier.

You know what Dr Mario is right? Pills fall down, line the pills up with the viruses of the colour as the pill, win.
This title features WFC, where you can either play a random player from anywhere in the world or play against someone who has your friend code, your friend won't even need the game as they will be given a limited VS mode to download. Sometimes Nintendo makes me cry with the sucky stuff they do (like not letting us runs stuff off SD cards) and sometimes they do something so damn good like that. As well as WFC, there is also 1-4 player modes for you to play at home with people you know. Also included is the Germ Buster game from Brain Training 2 where you use the Wiimote to point and drag the pills.
For 1000 points this is a damn good deal, and I think us PAL pigs will get this before the North American regions unless it appears over there at the same time.

So that is it, very dry in the way of English releases but its only for one week, you wait for the flood to arrive in the next few weeks.

The series returns, and its first since the 5th game on the Super Famicom back in 1995, its also an all new game (shock!).
Herakles no Eikou (aka as Glory of Hercules over here) is a series of RPG games by the now defunct Data East. It is said to be a lot like the Dragon Quest series only with an ancient Greek setting & theme, which I'd love to see on my DS. All the characters, places and monsters are from Greek myths, it was immensley popular over in Japan but sadly never got released over here. There are five games in the series; two on the Famicom (NES), two on the Super Famicom (SNES) and one for the Gameboy (erm Gameboy). The Famicom & Super Famicom games have been released on Virtual Console.
This game you play as a young boy who, having lost his memory, sets out on a journey to find out who he is. Pretty quickly into his journey, he learns that he's immortal. Not only that, but the friends whom he meets on his journey also happen to be immortal.
Outside of an expansive story that's set in the vast Olympus, the game features a hefty turn-based battle system. You can make Hercules and friends perform standard attacks, magic, skills, and abilities in order to defeat your foes. The game puts the stylus to use during battle, asking that you input touch commands in order to add power to your attacks. The combat system is turn based. Players select skills, attacks and spells. After the plan is set, commands on the touch screen can boost attacks. There is also a limited grid system, which suggests range plays a role in Hercules no Eikou: Tamashii no Shoumei.
Its by Paon who did the dreadful Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast but the awesome DK King of Swing & DK Jungle Climber, they actually own the rights to the series so maybe they're fans, if so this could be yet another classic on the DS and there is a chance that we could see it in the West.

Always preferred 1st person dungeon crawlers for some reason. Here is one that has a nice style. You can play either with retro wireframed graphics (ooh white on black!) or you can go with a cell shaded, more detailed look. Also you can choose to have 8 bit sound too, which is just bleeps but I like bleeps.
Apparently the game will be short with only only 40 quests to complete and 80+ monsters to fight. D&D/Wizardry like rules/gameplay, it uses a DICE to generate stats & combat is text Based. Would be nice if Atlus bought us this but I think it is slim.

A basic looking flying shooter.

I swear that this has been released before but it ain't on the release list so perhaps that was on GBA.

Again like Ghostlights other game this looks a bit meh, I hope its good for those horesy fans who will get given this as an uninspired present.

Where the hell did this come from? English version of a Japanese game that came out in 2005.
Join Hamu Tarou on a quest to save Hatena Princess, who's been locked away. You'll have to clear 450 "Nazo Nazo" mysteries as you work your way through the game. Game sharing and two types of wireless play are included.
A lot of places are listing this but I really doubt it'll come out on that date, I'm sure Nintendo would have announced it first.

I remember when System 3 did good games, but that was back in the C64/Amiga games. Still there revision of Impossible Mission on the DS was decent.
Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli is a re-creation of Ferrari's own racing series, which sees both professional and amateur drivers taking to the world's most famous race tracks in 430 Challenge race cars. Developed by racing game specialists Eutechnyx, Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli draws upon the developer's years of experience with racing titles and includes a uniquely magical touch from GP2 driver Bruno Senna, nephew of F1 legend Ayrton and technical consultant on the game's handling. 50 expertly-modelled Ferraris are available, along with the full complement of Ferrari Challenge series tracks, balanced handling, lifelike opponent AI and a comprehensive custom vinyl editor.
Graphically, the Wii could do better. Gameplay is said to be "unique" but is probably just the same as all Wii racers.
The developers previous games include the terrible Pimp My Ride & Hot Wheels: Beat that the boring Big Mother Truckers but also the ok Street Racing Syndicate. I'm not expecting good things to be honest

Apparently this game has been described as Zoo Keeper meets Qix.
Critter Round-Up is a puzzle game for up to four players. Players are challenged with building fences to separate different critter species into their own area, while avoiding predators and other mischievous animals attempting to stop you from rounding them up. Players can corral exotic critters from five environments encompassing 50 levels, with gameplay modes including a co-op Adventure Mode as well as special co-op challenges for up to four players. There's also a Marathon Mode that supports up to four layers on a nearly infinite number of levels, as well as a collection of Critter Games, an entertaining selection of mini games such as Snowball Soccer and Predator Rampage.

Star Soldier R brings back Hudsons classic shooting franchise with new 3D graphics. Like traditional vertically-scrolling shooters, the game features a top-down perspective and players fly from the bottom of the screen towards the top, shooting at any ship or structure that obstructs their path. As players progress, they can collect power-ups to increase their weapon or shield strength, and an all-new Force System enables gamers to collect up to five orbiting satellites that can be held close to the ship for defensive cover, or can be sent out for additional firepower. Players can also decide how they want to play, choosing from three control schemes - Nunchuk and Wii Remote, Wii Remote only (held sideways) or the Classic Controller.
This tournament-style outer space shooter also challenges players to achieve a high score in either a 2-Minute or 5-Minute Mode. In 2-Minute Mode, players have just enough time to battle through one action-packed stage and one giant boss. In 5-Minute Mode, they also have enough time to fight their way through a second level with its own boss. Additionally, players can play Quick Shot Mode to see if they have the fastest trigger fingers around! Once gamers have their scores, they can go to the online leaderboards to see how they compare with other players in their region and can keep playing to improve their ranking.
A 5 minute game though...not really worth 800 points is it?

A big approval from me on this one. It is practically a remake of the GBC game, but that game is very very good and is well suited to the WiiWare line up.
The gameplay in Toki Tori is a blend of two genres. While it looks like a platform game, it's a puzzle game by heart. Players will have to look and plan ahead carefully while using a variety of items, such as the Telewarp, Freeze-o-Matic and InstantRock™ to name but a few. There will be new content as well as the old levels as well as an overhaul in graphics, sound & control. It'll also let you use a second WiiMote for on screen drawing, though I have no idea in what that would entail.
I hope it does well enough for a DS sequel. No idea how many points it requires but I will update when I know.

A prequel to the DS game that erm hasn't come out yet (so why not say the DS game is the sequel?). The game's story mode features a navy captain who is sent undercover to retrieve "The Key of Dreams", a dangerous artefact, from the hands of the famous pirate Blackbeard. To do this he must travel to seven different locations in 3 different parts of the world, finding out where Blackbeard is located and eventually battling him.
Recruiting new crew members, such as lookouts, navigators and master gunners to increase the skills of your ship, is of course also a necessity. You can also use a variety of weapons, like sea mines, rockets, flame cannons, and of course regular cannons to battle the various opponents you will face on the seas. The story mode has a total of 10 levels.
Aside from the story mode there is a Skirmish mode, with 35 small stages where you must battle 2 or 3 AI opponents. There is also a multiplayer battle mode, where 2 to 4 players can battle it out with each other (Multiplayer has the same 35 stages as Skirmish mode). In multiplayer mode you can also select some stranger ships, such as enchanted ice ships and ghost ships. Added new screens and it looks pretty much the same as the DS game but prettier.

You know what Dr Mario is right? Pills fall down, line the pills up with the viruses of the colour as the pill, win.
This title features WFC, where you can either play a random player from anywhere in the world or play against someone who has your friend code, your friend won't even need the game as they will be given a limited VS mode to download. Sometimes Nintendo makes me cry with the sucky stuff they do (like not letting us runs stuff off SD cards) and sometimes they do something so damn good like that. As well as WFC, there is also 1-4 player modes for you to play at home with people you know. Also included is the Germ Buster game from Brain Training 2 where you use the Wiimote to point and drag the pills.
For 1000 points this is a damn good deal, and I think us PAL pigs will get this before the North American regions unless it appears over there at the same time.

So that is it, very dry in the way of English releases but its only for one week, you wait for the flood to arrive in the next few weeks.
