Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you with mouth.

Region North America Genre: Real Time Strategy
Developer: 5th Cell Publisher: THQ

Another good looking game from the makers of Drawn To Life and it looks like it'll add something new to the DS RTS genre.

Lock's Quest, players create a virtual world block-by-block to defend their homeland against invading enemies. With the innovative use of the Nintendo DS stylus, players will be able to immerse themselves into the building and creating process.

You assume the role of young hero Lock as he defends his homeland from the imminent attack of robotic invaders. As an Archineer - part architect, part engineer -- Lock uses his skills to build new structures around the sacred Source Artefacts with the ultimate goal of protecting them from infiltrators. Players can utilize different materials such as stone, metal, or wood to create and design defence towers in the battle field. There are also quirky weapons such as quicksand traps and glue cannons that the player can use to attack enemies.

There is also a multiplayer mode so you can battle your friends. Really looking forward to getting my teeth into this game.

Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir

Region North America Genre: Adventure/puzzle
Developer: Big Fish Games Publisher: Nintendo

Mystery Case Files is a series of games that have graced the PC & MAC, this one however is exclusive to NDS.

Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir uses the unique Nintendo DS interface to expand upon the seek-and-solve game play of the popular series from Big Fish Games. Players seek out cleverly hidden items in a multitude of painted scenes. Players progress through an interactive detective story investigating a cast of characters and uncovering new evidence to find the rightful heir to a million-dollar fortune. This new portable instalment is available only for Nintendo DS. With interactive logic puzzles that use both the touch-screen interface and built-in microphone and include the first ever multiplayer mode for a Mystery Case Files game, Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir presents a new generation of seek-and-solve games for casual gamers and franchise fans.

The other games in the series were actually pretty decent and would fit well on the DS but after Layton will it be enough?

Region: North America Genre: Dungeon crawler
Developer: Signature Devices, Inc. Publisher: Graffiti Entertainment

How many times has this title been pushed back?

Mazes of Fate spans the length and breadth of a huge, dynamic world, and tells an epic story of magic and conspiracy, with more than a hundred characters you can interact with, an hour of original music featuring thirty-five different themes, and twenty-five hours of gameplay.

Well like many people I played the BETA rom of this GBA to DS remake and I can't say I liked it to be honest, seemed really really dull and I like these first person RPG games but many did so by all means give it a go. Maybe I'll give it another go too.

Region: Japan Genre: Horror Adventure
Developer: WorkJam Publisher: Arc System Works

Fans of Shadowgate & Hotel Dusk will want to keep an eye on this game.

n this adventure game, players will take on the roles of two different characters trying to understand out their past, present, and intertwined destiny. Will you be able to discover the true meaning of theresia?

It is a tale of twisted love between a mother and her daughter. Raised from the ashes of war and torture, Leanne has no memory of her past. Will she find the true meaning of her existence through her past, or will she be consumed by her destined future?

The protagonist, a brilliant doctor and owner of the local orphanage, develops a vaccine to combat the high fever that has affected the children in his orphanage. Unfortunately, as with every great creation, his discovery comes only at great cost. Will he be able to atone for his mistake, or will his creation end mankind?

Aksys will be releasing this pretty quickly in NA countries this October, and I'm looking forward to playing this game.

Region Europe Genre: RPG
Developer: ArtePiazza Publisher: Square Enix

SE gives Europe & Australia some respect and release this title there first!

A prestigious army captain, an adventurous princess seeking to test her skills beyond palace walls, a humble merchant aspiring to open his own shop, and two sisters who wish to avenge their father’s death...These seemingly unrelated individuals will soon cross paths when fate brings them together to journey alongside you, the hero. Dive into this unique adventure, and discover an epic tale told through the experiences and emotions of characters from all walks of life.

Experience an adventure of epic proportions, presented through multiple character perspectives. While retaining the classic look and feel of the original release, this remake breathes new life into a much-loved entry in the Dragon Quest series with 3D graphics, dual screen presentation and newly animated monsters.

You can also expand your town via Chance Encounter mode, available through local wireless connection. Probably the first RPG that I've wanted to play in a while. Looks damn pretty too.

What this isn't a homebrew game? You sure? Yeah it looks like crap, presentation and that but it's probably got a shitload of options but still meh for me.

Gamers interact with the game using the stylus on the lower screen to set the player position, defend, attack, pass and shoot, with full control over ball. Using the finger-flick icon on the screen, the player can choose the angle and power of the kick just like the real thing. The upper screen gives real time feedback on all the match action with fouls, goals and even those all-important aerobatic shots.

I'd rather have the real thing.

Pirates: Duels on the High Seas

Region: Europe Genre: Pirate Shooter
Developer: Oxygen Interactive Publisher: Oxygen Interactive

Uh oh another Oxygen Interactive title...run! Well it does have Pirates in it so lets take a look at it. A chance encounter with an old sea-dog; the legend of a fantastic treasure - Thus begins an epic adventure for the 7 keys of the 7 seas – a daring battle against Royal Navy, sea monsters, a Witch Queen and Blackbeard himself! Steel yourself to face foes that no captain has ever bested before, in this perilous adventure of the enchanted worlds. Collect weapons, pick up crewmen, amass great riches and breach un-chartered seas. Learn the secrets of dozens of enemies as you cast off and set sail on a daring voyage of adventure and battle.

There was a game in the series on WiiWare but it kinda sucked so chances are that maybe it'll be sucky but it would be nice if it turned out well. We need a port of Sid Miers Pirates though.

My Secret World by Imagine

As for Wii titles, again it is a poor weak:

NA:
Active Life Outdoor Challenge
The Price is Right
Cabela's Legendary Adventures
Hell's Kitchen

Europe:
TNA iMPACT!

You can see why I didn't write them up. There was gonna be a "The Most Promising WiiWare Games To Come" part but its on my other PC which needs repairing but it'll appear soon.

a new RTS for the DS???

that character looks a bit like naruto(when he still used his scooter goggles(read the pilot manga to understand it))
and didn't he appear in "drawn to life" too? or was it a character that looked like that?
(talking about the game character, not the art version on the top screen)

Man, too many good games this month. It's either feast or famine. You either have squat to play and end up rummaging through old games to try to find something entertaining, or it's like this -- brain overload.

I'm definitely looking forward to a handful of those games, and in particular, the Pirates game. Yeah, I know the WiiWare version got panned and this will likely suck, but I'm still anxious to fool around with it. Looks like it could be fun.

My wife, of course, is waiting for Mystery Case files. She's hook on those Phoenix Wright / Hotel Dusk-type adventures. Meh...

Out on the 23rd. I really hope that some work has been done to it, I heard the Japanese version is a cheap port with bugs. Of course I still have my beloved PSP version so not that big a loss but most won't have a PSP so my hope is for you people.

nice work
As satangel said... lock and dragon looks best hope they turn out good (atleast lock's quest since DQ can't be bad) and pirates seems very interesting as i remember playing a demo of such sort for ps1 and theresia nice concept, bad language
I think someone here wants similar games like millionheir so i might get it
Thing with Square is tht they maximize the graphics potential of any system they make the game for... take kingdom hearts 358/2 and Final fantasy 12 (my BEST in the series due to wonderful gameplay and secrets)

overload of games :0
too much for me to review lol
well, im definitely gonna try out (and hopefully like) Locks Quest
Theresia reminds me of theresa
Dragon Quest looks nice and worth a try

all these nice games coming out every week (well only currently) makes me wonder why Nintendo would ruin such a good console (by pushing out a new one) when the sales and still rising.

I really don't have time to be getting myself involved with a Dragon Quest, but I probably will anyway. Sleep be damned.

Thanks as always for the fine work Hadrian!

DQ and Theresia: Dear Emile. Especially the latter I'm looking forward to. I loved Hotel Dusk, Another Code/Trace Memory; can't wait for this. The storyline looks pretty okay, but it looks like a worthy play at first glance.
