What a week for Europe, Spore Creatures & Viva Piñata! Sadly Tornado is now out on September 30th, also Super Speed Machines has been delayed too.

It looks like yet another generic dungeon crawler! Was due last week, now due this week.

From the Abyss allows players to explore the vast world of Rubenhaut through a unique world creation engine exclusively created for From The Abyss. The game also features an intuitive control scheme, lavish artwork, and an engaging 2 player co-op battle system.

Create your own unique Abyss! Every time you start a brand new journey, the game will randomly generate a custom world that will give you a unique experience every time! Customize your character! Distribute your skill points that define your character’s powers and destiny. Will you go the way of the sword or be a powerful spell caster? Capture your enemy’s soul! Steal the enemy’s techniques and use them to turn the tide of the battle! Co-op Mode!
Connect with a friend wirelessly and work together to defeat the Dark Lord of the Abyss!

I'm kinda hankering for something like this so I'll give it a go. Famitsu gave it 27/40 so don't expect the best game in the world I guess.

    Region Japan Genre: Strategy RPG
Developer: FeelPlus / Brownie Brown / Mistwalker (wtf?) Publisher: AQ Interactive

Another Strategy RPG and a new entry in Mistwalkers series.

One year after the events of the original game, the world continues to embrace and explore the cube worlds that resulted from the opening of the planet's core. One day King Jibral and Zola encounter a mysterious evil dragon shadow at one of the cubes. Zola has a bad feeling about it and after informing Shu and the party, they find themselves on another adventure to discover this new threat.

The 360 title was pretty decent, nothing special though just well made albeit a little generic. Should fit well on the DS but may not take in newbies to the genre. I will definitely give this a go if it comes out in English which I'm sure will one day. Famitsu gave the title a good 30/40 rating for those who care.

Its Pokemon...with Dinosaurs. Instant win? Well maybe if it was by Nintendo. Japanese reviews said no when it came out ages back and we've had these sort of games before that have failed.

Sega are wanting this to be a big hit and they plan on releasing this outside of Japan. The spin off of Sega's popular Mushi King games, Dinosaur King is a kids oriented title that has you battling your favourite dinosaurs. As Max or Rex, otherwise known as the D-Team, players will collect over 100 dinosaurs, each with its own special moves totalling over 240 in all. Travelling to five different territories around the globe, players will dig for fossils that are indigenous to that region. Once the player has collected their dinosaurs, exciting battles can begin with the evil Dr. Z, a greedy scientist bent on destruction and world domination. Its also an animated series.

Can't say I want this, looks very bland.

So Rare what have you done since leaving Nintendo? Grabbed by the Goulies....lame game. Conker remake on Xbox...great but remake. Kameo...nice ideas but kinda lacking. Perfect Dark Zero...A massive let down. Viva Piñata...a piece of greatness that didn't do well. Anyway here it is on the DS, yes Rare still makes games for Nintendo, hey DS makes shit loads of money and Microsoft love money.

Viva Piñata puts a full-size game experience in your pocket, featuring not only the entire range of paper beasts from the Xbox 360 title but also a few new ones thrown in to spice things up for those familiar with the established cast. Stylus input lets you easily interact with your menagerie. Design, nurture, instruct, protect and care for your garden and animals through direct touch. Over a local wireless connection, you can also lets you send prime Piñata specimens to your friends, making the act of parading your Doenut around in a humiliating pirate outfit easier than ever.

Its got everything that the 360 game has plus a hell of a lot more! Transfer items – any piñata, accessory or object – from your garden to a friend’s garden. Some exotic species can only be attracted using wi-fi. Its gotta be a must have game and I hope that it does a lot better than it did on the 360. The worst thing Rare have done has gone to Microsoft imo, the main audience just doesn't understand their games.

Remember Zero G? It got delayed and renamed, though I swear I saw it in shops over here.

I hope that this is a good racer but two things make me think that it won't. 1. Its being released at £11.99 and 2. Midas Entertainment release crap games, but hey lets be optimistic here, the game does feature online wi-fi mode (something most bigger games don't even bother having) and seeing as we probably won't get Wipeout it'll have to do for weapon based future racing. If its bad then I guess back I go to Speed Racer.

My god this is lovely looking! This will eat up some time.

From the very tiniest forms of life to the intergalactic level of existence, you are in control of life itself in this simulation game by Will Wright. Beginning in the primordial ooze, players create a character from DNA that will grow, survive, and mate as it evolves from a single-celled organism to a fully-formed member of an establishing species. As more and more creatures inhabit the world, and as evolution forms the future, your species will join herds, clans, even civilizations. The more advanced the creatures of the planet grow, the more complex the strife of survival becomes. The action plays out much like an action RPG – starting small and humble, over time and through the completion of tasks new abilities and body parts are unlocked that can be implemented in the Creature Editor screen.

For some reason people are shitting on the way it looks, I love it so I shit on them! Shame on you! OK its not a proper version of Spore and I am thankful as I have a PC/Wii and so I'll play the original intention of it on those. If you only have a DS, sorry but See this as a title to complement the bigger versions. People who have played it say its great and has a lot of fun to offer, now I prey to hear that its connectible with the Wii version.

Dinousaur King is actually an arcade game here in Indonesia, and it plays exactly the same, yeah, swipe your Timezone card, get a dinosaur card, swipe the card, randomly choose your hero (well, a bastard that just shows his/her face without doing anyhting) and get smacked, yeah. 2 hits (consecutive, that is) and you die, it attracts a helluva number of kids, and a heluva mount of money too

But on the other hand, many people say Viva Pinata on 360 is very good, IDK, personally, I'll try it, childish and fun graphics are just perfect for me, and I'll try Spore Creatures too

I'd imagine DS owners to be more open minded to games like Spore Creatures & Viva Piñata.

    Never mind I guess.

This whole release date/delay thing is silly now, From The Abyss was due out on the 26th. Got delayed until 2nd September and now accodring to IGN, its in stores now.

Not sure if IGN have this right or wrong or not but whatever.
