    Whats up.

I'm planing to upgrade from perfect to real.

Got a question regarding the gamesaves...perfect uses .dat saves.

What does the real uses? can the saves be translated from perfect to real?

I really apreciate your help here.

Check out http://www.shunyweb.info/index.php. I think this will convert your M3 Perfect saves to M3DSR which are .0, .1, or .2. The M3DSR saves games to a .0 file but the cartidge will let you swap save files around i.e rename them from .0 to .1 or from .0 to .2 (and vice versa). To do this highlight a game and press the select button.

    nice response keamar.

i think i read somewhere that these .0 .1 .2 files are just .sav files , only that with another extension.

    is this true?

another question: how much bytes does these .0 .1 .2 files have in size?

I think I've heard that too, but even so it's easier to mange if you have multiple saves and each save file is 512KB

Yes, just like the R4 .sav files are 512k so are the M3DSR files. M3 has a utility that changes the file extension from .sav to .0 (and I think this is all it does). I have changed the file extension by hand and the save seems to work fine.
