With this thing, I could play NDS ROMs through my DSi's SD Slot using a MicroSD without actually needing a Flashcard, is that what you're saying?!

It's only Homebrew apps and Download Play demos which are supported now.

Only Download Play and Homebrew apps will work on both DSi and 3DS.
Full ROM's won't work on neither 3DS nor DSi until further notice, right now it's only Download Play and Homebrew apps.
And take into consideration that those HB apps must be compiled with the new libnds library to work if the apps use DLDI.

I mean, he asked if this was possible on a Nintendo DSi. And the answer is NO, too, since he can't install CIAs in a Nintendo DSi. I think he asked about the scope for Nintendo DSi, not if he could load commercial ROMs right now.

This is for Nintendo 3DS mainly. It could be approached in a DSi by loading a homebrew that launched the game from SD card in a DSi with Sokuhax.

Nope. I think my DSi only had Flipnote and Photo Fighter on it.
I lost my flashcard long ago through some unnecesary-to-explain events so I thought this could be the way to bring the console back, but I guess it was just too good to be.

Nah it was a normal game, as soon as I read "no need for flashcart" I instantly tried to do it, but alas it failed, then I spent the next 30 mins reading the thread and found out it only worked with demos and homebrew... and decided to add my useless input still, it was worth a try can't wait till this works tho it's gonna be BIG
