nds-bootstrap:

Thanks to the work of ahezard, Gericom, Apache, Robz8, _catcatcat, and shutterbug2000 and other contributors, we can now load NDS games from the SD card, without any flashcard/SLOT-1 card.

Don't expect high compatibility, but do expect many, many updates.

So how does this technically work?

Legit games all use Nintendo's SDK, with predefined card read functions through which all game card accesses are done. Find the signatures corresponding to those functions and patch them so they instead read from a file on the SD card. That's the gist of it.

try using TWLoader saves Homemenu space. but make sure your waiting it took 3 misn to get to the capcom logo on my 3Ds,

I won't personally get use out of this, as I prefer my DS flashcard with built in cheats and real time saving (and really just having one cart in my 3DS at all times makes it feel more complete). But I do think this is a fantastic release for the overall scene. I keep seeing projects pop up on gbatemp that successfully accomplish something that many said would never be possible, and I just think that's really awesome.

Pretty sure the devs want to focus on getting save redirection to work properly and get this to be able to run a bigger percent of nds ROMs first.
