Nintendo stated during the Nintendo Direct a few moments back that they will be bringing Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS Titles to the Wii U through the Virtual Console. It has also been stated that Nintendo 64 titles already owned through the Wii Virtual Console will have its price deducted by 2$. All the N64 games come with their original manual as said by Vanth88.

North America
  • Super Mario 64, a Nintendo 64 Title
  • Yoshi's Island DS, a Nintendo DS Title
Europe/ Australia
  • Super Mario 64, a Nintendo 64 Title
  • Donkey Kong 64, a Nintendo 64 Title
  • Mario Kart DS, a Nintendo DS Title
  • WarioWare Touched, a Nintendo DS Title
Polygon said:
Several control options will be available for games from both platforms — Nintendo DS games can either be played with the GamePad representing the lower screen, or with both screens shown on the gamepad, which would be held on its side. Nintendo 64 buttons can be remapped across the GamePad, so players can find the layout most comfortable for them.

While it might be true that some users have early access to Donkey Kong, US users are SOL because we have to wait.

And to be sure I just checked the eshop, it's not there. So you might want to edit the post to reflect that.

*EDIT* If you watch Nintendo Direct it says April 16th (I think) for Donkey Kong, and 30th(again can't remember) for Paper Mario.

As for Mario 64? it's available to everyone to purchase right now.

It should also be mentioned that the games come with the original N64 manual in all it's original glory, colors and all. I know some might not care but to me it brings a tear to my eye.

Can anyone who has Donkey Kong 64 verify if it supports widescreen? I seen a video on youtube but it wasn't widescreen and I don't think he changed the options in the main menu.

Do the NDS games also come with their manual?
Also, for others that have VC titles that are not on the list, please reply to this thread with the name of the game, region and if its N64 or NDS

I'm not sure yet since I didn't buy the DS game.

OMG!! Playable with the GamePad?
YES! if you watch the nintendo direct you can even select how you want the DS games to display. So for example you could have the bottom screen display on the gamepad and the top screen on your TV. As for the N64 you can use the gamepad or wii u pro controller, etc. The only thing not supported is the Nintendo Gamecube controller.

Question to those who have Donkey Kong 64, does it have all the Rare logos at startup? Or have they been removed?
their still there :P

it also runs in 1080p and you can even remap the buttons

you have to set your tv to 4:3 full though otherwise the game is squished into a fairly small box in the middle of the screen.
