its really stupid to think that all games that come out on any console are made by the same distributor. i understand that ubisoft indeed release games on every platform (including the nintendos consoles), but am saying that they (nintendo) overall have the worst run when it comes to ALLOWING crap-ware...

The difference is that Nintendo will allow crap-ware because it's going to sell regardless of whether it's decent or not. Given that Elite was supposed to essentially be a reboot of the Live series with a new face and that it had to compete with the beast that is 2K11, it wouldn't be a smart move to release it now. Basically, Nintendo doesn't have much to lose when releasing crap-ware whereas EA had PLENTY to lose by releasing Elite.
