Recently I softmodded my Japanese Wii with the guide on wii.guide and uploaded WiiFlow from here as well. I transferred some games to my USB 2.0 flash and when I boot up this particular game, after loading screen of WiiFlow I end up with a black screen. I tried to boot up both NTSC and PAL versions of the game, they both don't work. Other games of these both regions seem to work fine, I only have problem with Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3, any guesses what that could be? Much appreciated
I tried changing iOS manually to 250 in game's settings, doesn't seem to work

Good morning,

please post a syscheck report here.

what version of wiiflow do you have?

Your usb support is in FAT32 ??

Have you tried the WBFS format with your USB key??

It may be your USB key or your game that is corrupted.

if you can try with a FAT32 external hard drive.

My WiiFlow version is 5.5.3

My USB was in FAT32

I tired WBFS with my USB but game couldn't be found by WiiFlow with this formatting

No FAT32 HDD available :(
Just a bit weird, since I had 7 more other games installed and all of them launched without a problem and this Naruto game should be running without any problems according to compatibility lists

Your syscheck is OK.

Correct, there is no specific IOS as base neccesarry.

Are you using the correct game path settings including correct game ID?

But did you also checked the game image inside a Emulator or even better, checked the integrity by HASH value? That its not corrupted?

Or as your system is NTSC-J, did you tryed forcing the game specific video mode NTSC or PAL inside individual settings (when launching the game)?

Yes, I use Wii Backup Manager, so the paths should be correct
Also as far as I checked Wii Backup Manager checks Hash integrity when transfers games via USB, or is it worth additional checkup?
Tried forcing various video formats, none of them worked

It is worth to check the HASH value seperatly as Wii Backup Manager calculates its own, stores it in the image for verifying the transfered image.
  • An MD5 Hash is calculated and stored in each disc transferred to a drive, so it's possible to verify the data integrity at a later date. The hash isn't calculated for ISO yet.
You may try the in the Manager under tools the SHA-1 Feature, as Nintendo stored this checksum in every image.

At least you may run a errorcheck with chkdsk on the drive and then additional h2testw, to be sure the drive is not corrupted. Then reformat and try again.

If nothing worked, try another USB drive.
