I'm using a guide to softmod my Wii and I've got as far as:
    >b) Use the power/reset/eject buttons to navigate the Bootmii menu and select the icon with the gears on it.

What does that mean? At this point no buttons on the controllers do anything so I assumed it was talking about the buttons on the Wii itself... But no, they just do their regular functions (e.g turn it off).

    What is it talking about?

    Here's the guide:

You have Bootmii-IOS, you need a Gamecube controller.

Indeed, it seems a bug is preventing the power/reset/eject keys from working for navigation.
    Also check the BootMii FAQ.

@beegee: That's it, thank you. [IMG]

I can't believe the guide didn't mention that despite supposedly being one of the best, if not the best.

@perkele: It was running, I could see the icons that the guide mentioned (the one with gears being on the far right) but reset/power/eject just did what they normally do.

As Kwartel said use the new BootMiiBootMii.org, even used as IOS version it will let you navigate with the Wiis front buttons. No need for a GC controller.
