The main target audience is kids, and believe me I was pretty stupid as one and thought you could trust a random user messaging you, or add someone random I didin't know, give them personal info, etc . Of course I know that's all bad, but swear words dude it's kind of expected lol.All of this policing around is insane! Now I can agree with not posting pornography or anything of that type, but swearing or talking to friends or even private messaging others is really taking it too far.
The problem is, there's no reasonable way to enforce that restriction. Back on the old Atlus forums before they were shut down, a few of the admins (who were actual Atlus USA localization staff) discussed some of the problems with creating websites for their games (which largely get M ratings), and the problem of age-gating the sites to prevent minors from gaining access came up. If they mandate the user enter their date of birth during signup, people will just lie. Anyone who wants to cause mischief or harm to a minor will just make their account for the kiddie pool. Not to mention kids who will lie about their age to play with the adults. Anything further could be considered invasion of privacy, legally, and get Nintendo sued.I think what Nintendo needs is seperate sections for kids & teens to talk to each other if they are that paranoid about an issue happening.
Lol, I've never heard of Project M. Mind Telling me?For some reason Nintendo seems to ban all when writing PM for what I know because they think one may refer to Project M.
It's a modified version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl built to make the gameplay engine more like its predecessor Melee, which is often used in competitive Smash tournaments, along with other additions like new characters and stages.Lol, I've never heard of Project M. Mind Telling me?
