Namco Bandai "Thinking About" Tales of Vesperia 2

Namco Bandai hosted a developer discussion in Shinjuku to celebrate the theatrical release of Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike, and Namco's general manager intimated that "there's a desire" to make a sequel, according to Famitsu.

Taking pre-screened questions, Makoto Yoshizumi, the Namco Bandai general manager, said staff would pester him during meetings "Will you be making Vesperia 2?" His reply: 'Don't talk like a fan!" However, "It appears that [within the company] there's a desire to make part 2. We're thinking about it."

Sequel thoughts aren't limited to just games. Yoshizumi said the company is also contemplating things they'd like to see if another Vesperia movie were made. "I don't know when it will happen, but we'd like to show [these things] in video form," he said.

This would be good for the PS3 or PSP. I want more Tales of games, but hopefully it won't land exclusively on the 360 and screw the vast majority of us over.

From what I understand is that Microfoft usually pays a company for an early release(like the first Tales game), but then Sony says they won't approve it for their system unless they add something the xbox version doesn't(like the pirate girl from the first Tales game). So it will probably hit the PS3, just later but with a new weapon or dungeon.

Never played a Tales game before, the main reason being that most of the games are in Japanese and never get localized.

I'm still waiting for Tales of Vesperia PS3 in English..... And about the voice actors being brought back, it's probably for some other game or something. The chance of it actually being translated is slim to nill. Just like every tales remake, port, etc, it won't happen ;_;

Instead of creating more tales of games, how about just bringing some of them to us, well, it could be one of those that u considered as failures but we wouldnt mind, 1 more localized tales of game = more happy customers for you
