The build you think was fast did overclock memory.
I forgot to remove it when doing some comparisons.
Use docked.
But the latest build from today brings the speed back for me.
The one I tested yesterday and the day before that had worse performance.
the one im running now is Mupen64Plus-Next OpenGL 1.0 b36f939
After turning off frameduping, noise emulation, framebuffer emulation and LOD emulation I get full speed in Ocarina of time on the same places I had trouble with yesterday.
Im running at 720p, 16:9 adjusted and FXAA shader.

Ok I made a save-state in kokiri forest that has slowdowns with frameduping on, disabled frameduping and restarted the game by first closing it down completely. Now I have full speed again.
What's the purpose of frame duping? I thought it was a performance feature. Maybe it only works well on static pictures but is taxing in moving scenes?
