A few weeks back I dropped my n3ds xl and cracked the top screen so last week I bought a N2ds xl and other than it not having 3d that I only used for a few games anyway I I like the 2ds better. I like the feel of the kinda textured flat plastic over the glossy painted plastic feel of the 3ds. I like that it is a little more balanced feeling so it doesn't feel top heavy like the 3ds. I think the biggest 2 dings on it are the speaker location and the rear camera location if you actually use them(I mostly use them for qr codes for FBI and themes). Other than that I love mine and don't regret going with the 2dsxl over the 3ds xl for a replacement.
If you want a good system to port it to, at least have a good programmer and knowledge.

It's very sad and a poignant example of why preservation is so important.

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games

An FPGA could probably replicate the chip's functionality without buying donor parts.

But I bet that would be more for a flashcart than a consumer repro board.

Like not emulating the entire SNES but just a loader and the enhancement chips perhaps even slightly overclocked like FX-2

In emulation overclocked FX chips makes a pretty big difference in frame rate

, The Doom NES cartridges, a few batches were made. One was given to AVGN as seen in his Doom video.
