Hardware N3DS XL - No Power (Lights / Screen / Etc)

I'm having the same problem as you are having. However my daughter board and charge ic are both fine. So if you can borrow a daughter board to test would be best, cause it might not be what you need.

Does anybody know where the power ic is located? And where there power runs from the battery so I can check with multimeter?

IDK anyone with a n3ds xl, so Ima just buy one, if they are only 15$ im not worried about it.

you have to check if there's a 4.2v on your power line, the charge ic is not the same as your CHARGE fuse!

if you flipped your battery,

your battery is not dead
your daughter board is dead
your charger ic is dead. check my thread, there are pictures of its whereabouts

about the 2 seconds thing, it doesn't matter if it is 2 seconds or half a second, if you flipped it, it is dead.

Exactly where on the power line do I check?

My daughter board is fine, I checked with another console. And I guess my charge is fine as well since I can charge my battery.

Just checking, this is the daughter board correct? or is the daughter board the one with the game reader attached>?

Does anyone have any idea what component on the daughter board goes? I have checked the caps, diodes, fuse and transistors the only thing i cant test is the big qfn package that looks to handle the button and cstick presses and a small 8 pin bga IC that i cannot identify. Any ideas would be helpful.

So I replaced my daughter board like you suggested and now its doing something else. The light comes on, and stays on for about 2 seconds, then the screens flicker on for like 1 milisecond and there is a slight popping sound from the speakers, and then it shuts itself off. Ive tried opening the device slowly and still nothing, can you tell me whats wrong now?

None of my cables are damaged at all, I work with ribbon cables a lot so I know how to handle them, Im leaning towards a blown fuse.
