Thank you.For clarification, .cia files use the consoles header instead, which is why a cartridge header of any sort isnt needed.
Still, this seems like something Nintendo could detect fairly easily (presuming the approach looks like "Find all headers currently registered in the online environment where type IS NOT 'cartridge'). Then again, perhaps it was posted somewhere that playing online via .CIA files was risky itself and does (or has) result in bans.

Just don't visit data management (how often do you even go there normally?)
You can unlink sysnand and emunand by formatting sysnand with your micro sd card removed. This should definitely be done because it fixes the gift wrap bug (gift wrap bug is all cia games are gift wrapped like a newly purchased eshop game every time you start gateway mode)
re: Data Management - I suppose this thread addresses it well enough, though I missed the "fix" the first time around (bit wordy).
EDIT:
- Is it truly preferable to "format sysNAND" (in terms of unlinking/etc. per the thread above)?
- After reading through it twice now, it seems the benefits weigh in the favor of formatting emuNAND (so that sysNAND can retain it's "stock" capability if you ever want to "throw away everything CFW-related", and go back to native)
