Hardware N3DS vs N3DS XL screen size/resolution/ppi

Pointless arguing really, as NA is only getting the XL I'm guessing games made over there will be produced to fit that screen more so the smaller one

Though no "Super Stable 3D"! That feature is pretty neat! I think the difference between the n3DS and OG 3DS (ohhhhh my, those abbreviations!) is pretty small. After finally having experienced the stable 3D, I can say, once you experienced it, you can never go back!

This is true. Sadly, I'm having a difficulty playing in 3D for more than a couple of minutes without having any annoying side effects. I'm forcing myself to play in 3D for 10-20 minutes every day for two weeks to see if I can get used to it. If not, his might render the 3D feature irrelevant for me in this equation.

My daughter really wants to upgrade from her original red 3ds, but is going to wait and see if the n3ds will eventually come to north America.. She REALLY wants the n3ds, NOT the n3dsXL..

I dunno, that one had a ton of manufacturing defects when I got mine. The bottom screen frame is permanently etched into my top screen (no, it doesn't wipe off), and the hinge makes a really loud "snap" sound. My friend's 3DS doesn't have any of these problems though, so it's probably one of the newer revisions.

From the reviews I've watched online the hinges in the units they have also make a loud snap. The screen frame is a bummer though.

I have 2 normal 3ds XL and the screens don't touch?

So the N3DS (not XL) has the better screen and more clear text/pictures then VITA, even though VITA has higher PPI value (220 vs 120)?

XL has the better screen, check side by side vids. Can't speak for the Vita, but the XL definitely has a better screen.

More crisp at the same resolution as OG N3DS? Dont think so. Picture on XL is just stretched, and is some games it looks just terrible.

But why OG N3DS screen is better then VITA, thats what bothers me?

Seriously? Go on Youtube and check some side by side videos of all units. The N3DS XL has best screen of them all - Not in resolution, that has not changed. But actual display and color it is the best.

I really think the original 3DS is the best too.The built quality is the best , the screens look very crisp and clear and the sound is louder and its more portable beside I love the green 3D light indicator

Hmmm this thread is making second guess not importing one of the N3DS. It's poor on ninty to not upscale the resolution on the larger screens!

I just picked up a n3DS today and compared it to my XL. Side by side, it still looks tiny, but on its own it doesn't feel tiny like the old 3DS does, and the image is much sharper than the XL.
I think it's the best screen size out of the options, but I still wish the screen was just a tad bigger.
