Im thinking about buying a 360, but I dont really want to spend another £50 on the official wireless adapter. I read some where that as an alternative u cud connect a spare wireless router to the xbox. Is this possible and how do u do it?

Do you mean through an ethernet cable that's basically a wired connection?

You can buy official adapters for £35.

I usually connect to Xbox Live over a regular ethernet cable, but naturally I'm not always near a computer. When that happens, I actually use my laptop as a wireless receiver. I just create a bridge between my wireless connection and ethernet connection and it's done. It takes the WiFi signal and bridges it over the ethernet cable. It works perfectly!! So if you have a spare laptop, just use that!

If anyone needs better instructions on how to do this I'd be happy to give out a few links.

Yeah I'd recommend this. I just did it with my laptop and it works like a charm. But you may have to change a few things in your router settings.
