Now n-card and clones are on top again. I was wonder if zelda save would work some day, and here is the answer. I will apply it on my XP Card and my son's DSLinker. I'll report the results here...

    Easy to install

    1. Plug usb writer into your nds and hook it up till an empty usb slot on pc

    2. HOLD A,B,L,R + Up on your nds to put the card into flash mode
(Screen will say USB SAFE BLOCK)

    3. Windows will pick up a fireline device, card is ready to be formatted

    4. Extract Contents of downloaded file to a folder

    5. Double click NAND_ALL.BAT will will start the firmware flash

    6. After a few seconds it will be done, switch of nds and switch back on holding A,B,L,R + DOWN to format the card,

    7. Windows will auto recognize the card again as a mass storage device

    8. Copy xmenu.dat from extracted folder to the root of your card.

    9. Card will create DSYSTEM folder at bootup

    10. DONE , Your MK5, Firelinker, Flashpass or whatever other clone you are using now has dldi with write support

I'll try tonight or tomorrow and let you know if it happens to me. Are the NDS icons the right way in this update? On 1.39 the icons were flipped in 3D mode.

Zelda didn't work for you? Seemed to save for me.

I applied on my XP Card and Zelda worked nice, and save too. But I didn't like this N-Card firmware, because moonshell and DSOrganize stopped working. On firmware 1.39 everything was fine. I'll wait for DSLinker firmware, cause I think it will solve this issue.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll wait for DS Linker or MK5's firmwares to come out, then upgrade.

So you have to backup your cart to upgrade either the N-Card or MK5 way? I've got a 16G DS-Linker. You know how long it takes to back up 2GB worth of games from these clones? Well over an hour. Then spending another hour copying everything back to the cart.

I'll wait and see if the DS-Linker Team is going to do another "Upgrade Method 1" type for their new firmware. I won't have to spend the time backing anything up then. I don't need the new firmware right now anyways since Zelda saves on a couple of other carts that I have.

Anyways, thanks for posting that perkele.

Upgrade Method 1 needs you to backup your files too, if I remember correctly.

I'm going to to wait til DS Linker has it on their site too (and with method 1, much simpler and painfree). Bugs, if any, might be ironed out then too.

I didn't understand the reason to format again, but I hope this is for best performance. I formated and think the future DSLinker firmware will ask to format too.
