This app is untested, as I own only one N-Card. It should fix white screen issues and general "My Ncard won't boot" issues.

Please test this out and let me know.

Someone with a flash ds should just run it and confirm it is the DS trojan and just recovery boot their ds. Or just scan it. Whatever works for them.

EDIT: I have spent much time on this forum. The only thing I don't have for the N-Card is the source code. I can tell you how it works, what brand flash chip it uses, how it saves, what type of RAM it uses, the amount of RAM it has, how the upgrade process works(Both method 1 and 2) along with any other questions you may have.

I would not try to brick your card. Look at the FAQ stickey! I translated that entire help file and added files/translated readmes! I am not here to hurt your card!

Ill give you the simple explaination.
There are 3 parts to the Ncard flash memory.
The lowest contains the nopass that allows the card to boot on a DS. This section also contains the icon that appears on the DS menu + the name.

The middle is a simple .NDS file. (It is named udisk.nds) The lowest level (Above) boots this .NDS file. The nds file writes the SAV that is residing in the SRAM to the higher level of internal memory.(Below) Also, it lists all the ROMS on the higher level of flash memory.(below) This nds file also contains the drives needed for copying files over from the computer. This nds file looks for xmenu.dat and DSSYSTEM folder. It also controls the booting of roms. This nds file is never inactive while on the main menu. It is always controling what happens to sav files where they are written etc. It only "goes to sleep" after a game has been booted.
This section(above) has many more roles in making the cart run. I will list them later.


The highest level is where you place files. It is a very simple part of the card. It just holds the ROMS. It also holds xmenu and the DSSYSTEM.



The end user never sees the NDS file. It is embedded in the flash memory. The only way to view it is to either dump your N-Card using a ROM dumping tool and extract it OR you can go through the upgrade files released by the DSGBA team. It is encrypted. I have tried to see its contents, but i cant. You can how ever run this file on other flashcarts and have them emulate the N-Card.

Now about the upgrade process. When DSGBA team upgrades the core part of the cart, you have to run an NDS file in order to upgrade. This NDS file loads an application into the RAM of the DS. When you run the file that has been copied into the RAM, it writes the new udisk.nds to the core of the cart. Since the introduction of the xmenu.dat, this has not been necessary.

On the .bat way of updating there had been a udisk.nds - During updating that .nds is copied to the middle part of flash-memory :0 ?
So if that file is not "copied" complete/correctly there will be a problem - The USB-Drive thing lays on that part = Card would get kinda unusable.
That USB-Safe-Mode "opens" access to that middle/lower-memory~?

I forgot to check back here and ended up running it on my card. Went through until it told me to restart my DS. Went to restart and know when I click on firecard I get a blank white screen. I can't reformat. Help please.

My intention was to make my cart run the debricker, take the cart out and reinsert it so the same cart would be debricked thus restoring it to what it was originally. This is what happened.

1.I ran the NDS file.
2.It asked if I wanted to proceed.
3.I confirmed but I do not remember being prompted to insert a different cart.
4.It started writing something and it displayed the 10% ect until it reached 100%.
5.It told me to restart and when I did I got a blank screen.

By using my cart (or another friends cart) to load another application into the DSs RAM that would rewrite what ever failed when you did it. It should work. I have an application now that is similar to the one that bricked your card(im really sorry about that) that should repair it.

@leniad: I cant release the source. Most of my code is stolen from DSGBA team. I do not want to get them upset.
