Cant remember as i hacked it about a year or 2 ago, but i swear even last week it had been off for about 6 months and i turned it on and it didnt need the exploit, it still was exploited. Yet today i try and it gives me the 19999999 error and needs the browser exploit again.

Any ideas what this could be?

maybe you thought it was exploited because you don't need CFW for all games.
and maybe today you tried to run a game that really needs CFW!

The newest update does remove does remove CBHC and you have to isntall it again
See here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/nintendo-has-updated-the-wii-u-firmware-to-5-5-4.541774/page-3

Did you happen to have a different internet provider or change you wifi password in the last two years, and then last week when you played, you had to reconnect to the internet and forgot to put in the dns to stop from getting updates?

I only ask incase you're just remembering what firmware you're on, if you actually checked then just ignore me :)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
