My wii stopped reading game discs

    It stopped reading discs for some reason...

    We need more information than that! What's your system menu, loader, cIOS, and age of your wii?

    Super Smash Bros. Brawl Dual Layer DVD is the answer..

    Not necessarily. Mine stopped working all of a sudden, even though I had NEVER used a DL game. I had to replace it (I did use USB loaders though that was in the days of cIOS36 rev9 when half the games needed a disc in the drive)

    It may make no difference, but it wouldn't hurt...try getting a DVD lens cleaner (I know Nintendo makes one).

    He means that Brawl had something to do with your problem because it was on a Dual Layer DVD

    i knew it..i was playing brawl and all of a sudden it died on me,so what do i do now

    get a wii disc cleaner, or your drive is dead

    you can do it, there is no problems with 4.2 and usbloaders

    I have 2 wiis on 4.2 with usb loaders, they work great and I dont have to worry about the kids scratching up my originals I bought.

    I would recommend configurable usb loader or wiiflow....both are excellent.

    as long as you have backup loading cios (249;222;etc), then you could use usb loaders in any system menu.
