It works pretty well, just make sure to already have a save for your game on the wii wii already. Some games seem to be complicated. Like Wii Sports. I had problems restoring it.

Btw this is not a tutorial, but the opposite (a question) so it should be moved by a mod.

Wait, so did you lose your saves completely or do you have backups of the on your computer? If you lost them from your computer, then you'd need to use one of those sd card restore programs.

You can restore them from the Wii settings.
